@carlosfroh @sebwilken ich mags lieber oben. va wenn ich am ausgangsbf des zuges einsteigen kann, hab ich dann da oben vor allem was danach passiert, ein bisschen ruhe. meistens war auch am ende des schlafplatzes, oberhalb vom gang, genug platz für mein gepäck.

Pondering to program a very old-school ad system for my blog. Like VERY old-school. A directory with banner ads as static graphic files, PNG only. A plugin for Jekyll to randomly select banner ads when regenerating the site. That's all. No cookies, no tracking, no targeting, no JavaScript, no nothing. Just banner ads with a clickable URL. Bring back the old web :)

@jwildeboer i just came across my old static html site yesterday & wonder why not doing stuff like that any more. In the throes of arsing around with Wordpress themes, each of which seems to be a more all-encompassing wysiwyg world of its own than the last ... when really what i'm after are rather tiny details that i just haven't worked out how to modify in the phps.

my instinct says diy is always simpler in the end ... just as that html site came from frustration with dreamweaver ...

Ich bin begeistert: In den Niederlanden gibt es einen Wettbewerb im Tegelwippen, also dem rauskommen von Pflastersteinen aus Gärten. Warum? Entsiegelte Flächen sind grüner und bei Hitze daher kühler, außerdem versickert Wasser im Boden, was sonst die Kanalisation unnötig füllt. Heute soll es heimwärts gehen. Zwei knappe Anschlüsse im französischen Zwangsreservierungsnetz machen mir noch Bauchschmerzen. Mal sehen, ob ich heute nach Hause kommen.

Die Nacht war gute 4 Stunden zu kurz, die Fähre demzufolge pünktlich. Fußpassagiere dürfen hier ungewohnterweise als erste raus. Die Passkontrolle findet im Shuttlebus zum Aufnahmegebäude statt.

Nun darf ich hier nun 2½ Stunden auf den allerersten TER nach Seaford warten.
Also… bei dieser Wartezeit muss es ja fast ein TER sein…

(Immerhin ist das Aufnahmegebäude um einiges gemütlicher und wärmer als in Dieppe)
