Auf einer Packung Lithium-Knopfzellen steht:

W00t? Wie fasse ich denn bitte eine Knopfzelle so an, dass sie derart kurzgeschlossen wird?

Aber es heißt ja auch "Hinter jeder Warnung steckt eine Geschichte" oder so ähnlich und naja. 🤷‍♂️ ... würde mich interessieren :D

https://glm.io/185267 - ich habe so langsam das Gefühl, dass uns diese Hyperscaler Cloudsachen noch mächtig um die Ohren fliegen werden.

Bei der ganzen Komplexität blickt doch keiner mehr durch. Und Automatisierung sorgt dafür, dass es Kettenreaktionen gibt. Zentralisierung macht einen Flächenbrand daraus.

Das kann's doch auch nicht sein. Klar hatten wir früher auch Ausfälle. Aber dann war's halt nur dem Dieter Krause seine CRM Anwendung für seinen Baggerbetrieb. 🤷‍♂️

Mein Jellyfin Server auf einem Rock64 hat jetzt tatsächlich fast 10 Minuten gebraucht, bis er nach einem Kaltstart wieder verfügbar war. Das ist mir zu lang.

Auf der anderen Seite - wenn er mal läuft, dann reicht der Rock64 für Musikstreaming leistungsmäßig völlig aus.

Will aber eigentlich gerade kein Geld für neues Spielzeug ausgeben :S

Also bleibt's wohl erst mal dabei ;-)

@mforester jaa, der Start ist Größenordnungen langsamer (auf meiner eh schon langsamen HW Plattform).

Du weißt aber nicht zufällig, woran es liegt und ob es ein Bug ist, oder einfach eine neue Funktion, die Leistung frisst?

Hab mal eine blöde Frage: Hab für eine Recherche in Thailand ein Hotel per Booking gebucht. Jetzt kam eine E-Mail, dass ich spätestens drei Tage vor Anreise bezahlen muss (das passt zum Deal per Booking - Stornierung ist nur bis drei Tage vorher möglich)
Allerdings nehmen sie wg "anti-fraud" keine Kreditkartenzahlung an, sondern wickeln Zahlungen nur über "secured payment link" ab - der fängt so an: https://pgw.2c2p.com/qpv2/1.0/QuickPay (dann noch paar Ziffern/Buchstaben)

Ist das ein Scam?

@evawolfangel nurnein Gedanke - auch wenn es Vllt nicht konkret bei einer Einordnung hilft: Nur, weil die Zahlungsplattform legitim ist, ist es noch lange nicht der Absender des Links.

Das Argument "Die Firma existiert und hat einen Wikipediaeintrag" würde ich also nicht gelten lassen.

Mir ist es vor einem Jahr passiert, dass ich über den Booking.com Chat einen ähnlichen Zahlungslink bekommen habe, obwohl Zahlung vor Ort ausgemacht war.

Der Booking.com des Hotels war "gehackt" worden.

@db0 ~ 780 active users. The VM is probably RAM hungry because I have lots of Sidekiq processes (not just threads) and also Elasticsearch for indexing is eating a lot.

For me it's not a problem to just provide more RAM, because there's plenty of RAM installed physically. Just need to assign more if I like to. :-)

Better use that RAM than just leave it unused. 🤷‍♂️

Boah, ist Dropbox asozial geworden. Früher konnte man über einen Klick auf einen Share-Link einfach die geteilte Datei herunterladen.

Mittlerweile wird so getan, als müsse man sich einloggen. Darunter dann ein kleiner Link, über den es doch auch ohne Account geht. Und das 2x.

Ziemlich aufdringlich, nervig und irreführend.
