@derthomas @Banur I think it’s awesome that your metal tastes are quite diverse!

For my narrower tastes - mostly deathcore / thall / metalcore these days, this has been an empty year so far.

However we might get lucky and get a Make Them Suffer finally, and the new Falling In Reverse single is their heaviest ever and that album drops In July , so there’s some hope

One of my favorite Arch Enemy albums, esp. the "Poisoned Arrow" track 😍

So I was advertised to a potential client as part of a 4 person team for a consultancy project. So far so normal, however, I checked what they put into the application as my references. Well, to say they exaggerated would be an understatement.

I am extremely uncomfortable now. The hearing is in 2 days and I need to do a lot (and I mean: A LOT) of research to at least know a bit about the things they put into my references. And I probably will have to blatantly lie during the hearing.

@derthomas @yourfutureex Oppenheimer was great BUT I completely agree it should have been about 40 minutes less - 2:20 would have been perfect and it would have been a 10/10. Not a fan of this insane length Trend.

@derthomas I have like reverse seasonal disorder! My entire family on my dad’s side has had skin cancer (non lethal but not fun), the sun is literally trying to kill us, so I actually prefer snow and overcast weather! I am not a fan of the 100 degree weather.

@b0rk I think a specific critique I have is that it does not follow the philosophy that there’s only one clear way to do something.

I’ve used git for 14 years and have never once used “git merge”. All you need is rebase. I can’t think of a single reason you’d need git merge if you know git rebase, and if there are cases it’s not clear

Here’s my proposal for a new hashtag: 🔥

The challenge: Listen to a band that everybody but you seems to LOVE but you just cannot get into. Ideally do it in chronological album order to come to a final decision: Is this band a grower - did you even like it after your deep dive - or have you been right at first place and it’s just a blower? 😄

Well, I start with . I don’t get it why they are called „One of the big 4“ - it just never clicked. So let the journey begin! 😜

My girlfriend and I have prepared a few jars for school lessons. The jars contain the most important soil layers. Stone, gravel, sand, loam, humus and litter.
