is like stock image gallery with weird randomizer. You can do with that, but you are constrained by assets available to you. Speaking of "assets", when you make a game using stuff from asset store, be it art, music or code, you are a , but not necessarily an (specifically visual artist), or .

Sooooo, if is running and is like taking a bus, then learning various techniques like inpainting and making a controlled effort using it is like learning to drive a bus or something?

A gift for a friend. A kinda muscular futuristic version of her character.

Images like these are now much easier to make since the introduction of Midjourney in-painting. Enjoy! Or not ๐Ÿ˜ตโ€๐Ÿ’ซ

I often have an impostor syndrome.
Many people launch locally, invent intricate pipelines, use complex tooling and even train models.

And I just use an online tool where all I do is provide positive and negative prompt, guidance scale, resolution, choose a model from a limited list (usually 3, maybe 5, models I always choose from), and hit the button a limited number of times per day for free.

Maybe I'm overthinking. I still get results that leave people fascinated.

@thudfactor I also like to tinker with stuff. I see playing around with prompts as a form of tinkering. Just... not ready to make a deeper dive because I already have too much to tinker with ๐Ÿ˜…

I find it astonishing how much more direct things are on Mastodon/Fediverse compared to Twitter/X, there's no feeling of algorithms that may or may not decide to make your post visible to others, it's just you and the other people on the internet and if you post a banger it'll just take off.

I rarely had any 'hit tweets' on twitter, but on Mastodon I feel like it happens at least once a month, although maybe it's just subjective. feels like I've much more active followers on here than on twit/x

@anthropy Yeah, Mastodon gives this feeling of engagement. I receive significantly more interactions with my posts, having just a bit over twenty followers, than I did on Twitter, having 400. Maybe being on an instance dedicated to the topic I mostly toot about helps too.
