German here, there are a bunch of “buts” worth mentioning, before everyone mistakes our country for a socialist utopia:
For starters, the notice period for employee and employer are identical, mutually agreed upon, and can be 1-6 months. If the OP was fired with 3 months notice, that simply means he would have to give equal notice when resigning. Usually it’s however expected to work all through the notice period and not just relax at home.
Secondly, a compensation is voluntarily, unless being fired due to socio-economic circumstances (as opposed to bad performance). In such a case, 1 month compensation per 1 year worked is often recommended by labor courts (maxing out at 6 months). Again, those are not mandatory unless it goes to an arbitration tribunal or court.
Thirdly, being allowed to take classes or other further education measures typically only exists for elderly layoffs with limited chances of finding qualified employment, or people with very limited skillset. Again the only exception is when being terminated due to socio-economic reasons, where the company agrees to pay development measures as part or in lieu of a settlement.
Unemployment benefits apply once the employee has paid social security contributions for minimum 12 months without interruption. In the first year they are due to receive 70% of their former salary after tax (there’s a cap though, I believe it was 2800 EUR/month).
If they still didn’t secure a new job, they are entitled to receive 484 EUR plus housing (based on actual cost; again capped and with a size restriction, I believe it was max. 20m² per person in the household). To qualify for this second stage of benefits however, the person must not have any assets exceeding 10k EUR, else they’d have to use those up first).
Medical insurance however is available all through without any caveats.

The admins made very clear that they don’t tolerate locked communities and will remove mods and assign it to somebody new. So by all means you can suggest people to move elsewhere, but you won’t be having much fun in trying to force them.
In recently purchased Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro with MIUI I see the message app isn’t available for many popular apps, those messages usually show when the android version is old but I have android 13 so I don’t understand why I see those errors so much in the play store.
MIUI is sort of a homebrew OS broadly based on Android. Some things work, others don’t. I wouldn’t be surprised if Xiaomi and OPPO will eventually go the way of Huaweii and develop their own custom OS to lock users into their ecosystem. It’s a China thing.
And while I’m a big fan of Xiaomi products in general, I wouldn’t use any of their phones without flashing the EU ROM first to ensure compatibility with free market tech. If you’re willing to give that a try, the folks at xiaomi.eu are working hard to maintain compatibility.

I took her to the vet and found the owner. I also yelled at them for letting their old dog roam. She’s a sweet old gal, and she shouldn’t be out there. I’ll be checking up on her. Thankfully, they’re going to still let me see her, even though I chewed them out....
I live in a gated community where everybody is a dog owner, they all roam free most of the time. It’s pretty awesome. We also have a whatsapp group with all neighbours, so when we want to know where they are, all it takes is a quick message into the group and the current food dispenser of choice will let us know.
The best thing about that is that we can also just travel for a week or two without bothering. Our dog prefers to sleep in our house, so the next door neighbor will open the door at night & then let her do her thing the next morning.

Ich kenne das Phänomen durchaus, hab mal etwas ländlicher gewohnt, und da gab es so ziemlich exakt das selbe Programm wie bei dir.
Bin dann zunächst ins Ruhrgebiet gezogen wo man mir einen Job angeboten hat (Essen ist weit besser als sein Ruf!), dann von dort nach Berlin und schließlich ins Ausland.
Tatsächlich hat mir das Ruhrgebiet besser gefallen als Berlin, dort ist jeder stationär und macht nur was in seinem eigenen Kiez. Im Ruhrgebiet gibt’s einen viel höheren Drang zur Mobilität. Heute geht man mal in Essen aus, morgen in Bochum, am Wochenende Düsseldorf, etc.
Gibt immer irgendwo Konzerte, Sportevents, abwechslungsreiches Essen, beste Natur und Radwege drumrum.
Ansonsten bin ich auch ein großer Fan von Saarbrücken - mein erster Schritt ins “Ausland“ war nach Luxemburg, und dort hab ich mit einigen Saarländern zusammengearbeitet. Hab nie dort gelebt, aber war oft dort und es hat mir ausgezeichnet gefallen. Viel Kultur, viel Musik, viel Abwechslung, herzliche Menschen. Allerdings schon recht Weinlastig, die Gegend.

And since graphics were not as refined as they are now, additional efforts were placed on gameplay.

For Thief and Gothic II there are unofficial graphic mods out there that improve things massively. They basically replace the original models with those from Thief II and Gothic 3, and also fix some bugs.

Why not use Firefox Relay? It’s a mail forwarding service with 5 aliases in the free version, and unlimited in paid. I’m using that in combination with my gmail account and it works beautifully.
If you only occasionally need a vpn, the free tier in proton is probably sufficient (but you can’t select servers, they will be assigned at random), and you could use windscribe as a backup (you can select servers in the free tier yourself, but traffic is limited to 10GB per 30 days).
