    @jcrabapple two process. I have a push/pull queue and a pull/push queue. So they each have their priorities but can help each other out.

    TIL that Kubernetes doesn't (by default) even pretend to schedule multiple replicas of the same pod on different nodes, because that would be too easy.

    @dustinrue yeah I got the anti-affinity rule loaded now. I just noticed this morning that both of my primary Mastodon pods got scheduled on the same host, and out of three that seems to not be very highly available 😏

    @dustinrue yeah I may need to look into that. I think things are fairly static overall but I’m also just now getting into resource reservations and such.

    @dustinrue hmm yeah now I seem to have a problem where if I have two pods running on say three hosts, and I tell it to deploy the pod with a new image it'll spin up the first one but then fail to bring up the next one because it violates the rules.

    Since launching in October of last year, we've been in moderator approval mode. Earlier this month I made the decision to temporarily move us to an open format, with some restrictions based on if our systems flag your account as suspicious.

    We've worked through minor issues these last few weeks and decided to stick with this for the future.
