If you ever get the chance, live in a communal area with people you care about. Or just get to know your neighbors, like actually talk to them when you see them and have a proper conversation

I don't know how to explain the benefit, but it does something deep down that just feels fulfilling

Finally got the USB cables, hacked the micro USB off, and added GX12 connectors. The RP2040 is overpowered for this, but I wanted the accelerometer and audio options for later revisions

> Transit gates aren't the only way around the universe. Most people think you've got to be a little crazy to hunt for warp shoals that you can't see, can't detect with gravimeters, and can't escape if you accidentally get too close, but that doesn't stop corporations from quietly pushing small survey teams around the stars to scan for anomalies. The WSH-5D56 Vagabond was commissioned as a ship design for exactly this purpose.

Created for day 4, "Discovery"

oh wow, I just walked past my first electric lawnmower, and I might have actually enjoyed doing yardwork as a kid if we had one of those instead of how awful the gas ones are

How to use a higher powered radio:

  1. Go to the FCC website
  2. Figure out how to "get licensed"
  3. Find your way to the Universal Licensing System (ULS)
  4. Create a ULS account
  5. Figure out that you can't create a license there, but you did need a ULS account
  6. Find your way to the Commission Registration System (CORES)
  7. Create a CORES account, which links to your ULS account
  8. Navigate through CORES until you figure out how to create an FCC Registration Number (FRN)
  9. Create an FRN

I am fascinated with Nite Ize, because they're an entire company formed around solving those "little problems"

They started by making a band to hold a flashlight on your head like a headlamp, and now they make rubber twist ties, S-shaped carabiners, little waterproof lights with a hook on them, pocket-sized multitools, and a ton of things to solve incredibly niche but incredibly frequent problems

The synthetic who joins every single Zoom call used to make you a little uncomfortable. They're your boss's boss's assistant, so at first you thought there was something wrong when they joined to "listen in". But after a couple of years - and a few work Christmas parties with open bars - you realized they're just particularly interested in hearing people's accents, so you've been introducing them to your extended family whenever they visit

> The relative luxury in the core invites the wealthy to settle frivolous slights through mobile frame combat. Closer to the major framebuilding companies, these core world pilots can take also advantage of higher performance parts at the expense of more complex maintenance. For better or worse (probably worse), the Quicksilver line capitalizes on this demand by producing a flexible design that pilots can adapt and equip to fit their personality.
