xylogx,

First commentor missed the Cassandra side effect: you can do nothing to change it and no one believes you.

xylogx,

What exactly was the breach? There is no detail about what data was accessed or who accessed it in the entire article.

Question for security enthusiasts (sh.itjust.works)

https://sh.itjust.works/pictrs/image/5a158d57-4736-4136-a8eb-e0f911b23861.webpso ive been looking into a Yubikey because i want 2FA on all of my accounts. however on yubicos website it says it supports linux. but the documentation is confusing and i want the Authentication app to setup my Yubikey on my main OS (NixOS) it seems...

xylogx, (edited )

I have used my Yubikey to do FIDO2 auth on Linux Mint with Chromium and Firefox. I have tried M365, Twitter and Facebook but any website that supports FIDO2 should work.

Did not need to install any OS components.

xylogx,

If someone injures you through a false statement of fact you can sue them for libel.

It is hard to do more than that without encroaching on free speech: people are entitled to their opinions. That said , free speech is not absolute and has linits.

xylogx,

I use LMDE on my gaming PC and my daily driver laptop. It works great and I could not be happier. That said I tried using LMDE on a media PC and I struggled to get MythTV to work. I switched to Ubuntu-Mint and it just worked. My conclusion is that while LMDE is fine for most things, Ubuntu-Mint gives you all of that you get with LMDE plus compatibility with Ubuntu stuff as well. I am not immediately switching off LMDE, but I will be less likely to stick with it in the future when upgrading.

xylogx,

The trick here is to use incognito mode while logged out to avoid being put in a filter bubble.
