L'altra cosa interessante e' la dinamica che ha aperto questa ondata di AI:

la vittima (i.e. StackOverflow) che fa partnership con i carnefice (i.e. OpenAI) per sopravvivere piu' a lungo.

Si, ma quanto piu' a lungo? E chi e' che vincera' veramente alla fine?
A me le risposte sembra gia' scritte, ma vediamo.

Sono comunque tutti scenari dove chi fa profitto non e' chi produce i contenuti che fanno il profitto, cioe' gli utenti.

ChatGPT e' molto comodo per il lavoro che faccio, ma mi chiedo se si arrivera' a uno scenario in cui posso usarlo senza applicare un largo menefreghismo su come va il mondo e senza mal di pancia verso questi business models che fanno piu' bene che male.

Vedremo.

Again we would like to apologize to all affected users. While this was not a general outage, affected users were not able to use their Tuta mailboxes for multiple hours, which is not acceptable. If on a paid plan, they will get a compensation. We fixed the issue on April 6 and implemented additional monitoring measures to prevent such issues in the future.

@pluralistic, nell'articolo del FT tradotto in italiano, parla di come le piattaforme sfruttino i monopoli per imprigionate i propri utenti mentre li spremono e rendono la loro esperienza sempre peggiore.

Penso che Cory Doctorow sia una specie di profeta nell' ambito dell'etica digitale, consiglio anche il suo blog, scrive ogni giorno cose interessanti!

@pasqualeberesti @protonmail you can, kind of. You can create an "alias domain". You can make a @your_random_code.aleeas.com and you can create random aliases using that (without even generating them first on Proton Pass or SimpleLogin). You can make up to 5 "domain aliases" i think. I make use of them widely 😅
Not exactly what you mean, it's not random the suffix, but close enough..? 😏

@Shivablue @paoloredaelli @informapirata WhatsApp è sicuro. È meglio di Telegram, ripeto.

Sul fatto che sia Open Source oppure non vuol dire molto, a livello generale.. non hai riscontro al 100% che il codice che gira nel tuo cellulare o nel computer sia quello che vedi nel repository su GitHub, oppure non sia una versione leggermente diversa con qualcosa in più o in meno.
Ci sono un sacco di software open che però hanno il codice pubblico leggermente diverso.

@usamainsights recruiters are huge spammers who don't care at all about you or your privacy. And typically their databases have very weak security and data are regularly leaked everywhere.
If there's one category of people you don't want to use your personal email with, it's recruiters.

I am looking at how to create email aliases on @protonmail (i.e. SimpleLogin) and..wow..it was much better with Skiff 😢 Here it seems I need to create the alias manually each time from the app. On Skiff i just needed to create the alias domain from the app, but all the prefixes was anything i could make up during signups on various websites. UX was so good on Skiff. Missing it already..what a loss.
