@protonmail Small feature request - an 'undo' button on the archive toast in the Android app.

Multiple times I've unintentionally archived something switching app, and I don't know what it was to undo that 😅

This is something Gmail has.

@hugh Thank you for your suggestion. By 'unintentionally' we assume you're doing this via a swipe action on your phone. If this is the case, note that you can modify your swipe actions in the app settings, so that swiping right or left doesn't archive the message, but perhaps marks it as read, for instance.

I appreciate wanting to measure engagement, but I’m pretty fed up with links in newsletters being email tracking links with redirects. I’d say 80% of links I would otherwise find useful, are now utterly useless, unless I agree to being tracked. Which I do not.

Although additional email addresses share the same mailbox, you can easily set up a filter to redirect messages received by a certain email address to a custom folder in your mailbox.

The patch with the fix has been submitted and we're waiting on Firefox to approve it.

I have transition 98% of my email away from hotmail.com and 98% of my gmail from those services and the remaining few emails I received are being forward to @protonmail I love and highly recommend Protonmail and I pay for it. I wish I could use it like I do desktop Outlook 365 to get away from desktop Outlook 365 as I don't like the direction it is going.

@case2tv @convexer Hi! Note that the point of client-side encryption is that server-side code matters less since it is the code that runs the client-side that is more critical.
Apart from the encryption of the incoming unencrypted emails in Proton Mail (that is a limitation in email as such), all cryptographic operations for all Proton apps, including key generation and data encryption, are performed locally on your device, i.e. client-side.

So @protonmail, the darling of user privacy, has turned ON by default a 'daily notification email'.

This sends an email to the mailbox you nominated as a recovery address to helpfully let you know that you have mail in your Proton inbox.

You are not told about this setting.

Given that a good percentage of people surely create a Proton account to be hidden, this seems like an egregious breach of trust.

I gave you my 'other' email address specifically for recovery purposes and THAT IS ALL.

@johnnydecimal Note that this functionality doesn't share any of the content of your emails in the Proton Mail inbox with your recovery email address. The address itself needs to be known anyway, otherwise it wouldn't be possible to use it when the need for a recovery arises.
