I use an iPhone SE 2020, because of my bad experience with androids phones (I know high end models are great but I only worked with old hand me downs). Additionally the iPhone is much cheaper than a similarly priced android phone. The software support for my phone is 7 years whereas android phones have 5 years at best.
Ah, I see your point, let me clarify what I meant. When I buy a phone I look at how long I am going to use the phone. I take that number and divide the phones price by it.
For example my current phone cost me 400 euros and has seven years of software support, I plan to use it for the full period it is going to receive software support so that is seven years.
400 divided by 7 is roughly 60 euros a year.
When I buy a similar priced android phone with more features and better hardware at the same price, you usually get 3 to 5 years of software support (please correct me if I'm wrong, I haven't looked at smartphones in a long time). I plan to use it while it gets software/security updates so lets say I'm going to use it for 5 years.
400 divided by 5 is 80 euros a year.
That's why I chose to use an iPhone, it may not be the best phone for the price with the latest and greatest hardware, but the thing is so damn stable and solid and cheaper a year that I opted to buy an iPhone. I also must admit that back when I bought the phone I got a good deal.
I hope I clarified why I think my phone is the better choice, you're opinion may vary and I respect that.
Edit: I see my original post was posted two times, I've got no clue why

I'm looking at getting smart locks for my front and back door, but don't know what to look for. Hopefully something with a keypad, so I can give friends a code to get in, and a RFID badge, so I can easily get in and out. Any suggestions are welcome!
Hi folks, I noticed that there weren't any commercial available HDMI-switches which worked with home automation software, that's why I chose to built one myself....
