Between 30 to 50 people swarmed the Nordstrom at the Westfield Topanga Mall in Woodland Hills, making off with thousands of dollars worth of luxury handbags and high-end clothing, an LAPD spokesman told NBC News.
Some people dont seem to grasp how all of this works. They seem to think the insurance fairy will pay for the damages and not the businesses (and finally the customers).
Activision has published the first teaser trailer for the new installment in the Call of Duty series, Modern Warfare 3 that will be released next November on PC and consoles.
I played modern warfare II for the first time some weeks ago. It really took me some time to find where the campaign can be started. a whole bunch of ads for Season pass, dlc bundle and other shit filled the whole screen. IDK about the multiplayer but the campaign was pretty lackluster. 2/10 wouldnt play again ^^
Im getting lots of NSFW content in the last time. I didnt find anything to disable the media preview in the sidebar either so there is no way to use the site in a setting where someone might see my screen. Anyone got a tipp or ways to change that?
In my country its a law that the "price per weight" has to be on the tag. It may vary which unit they are using but with the metric system its just a matter of moving the comma.

Honestly i get that you are angry/disappointed on a personal level. But its pretty normal reaction from reddits side. You were not cooperative to their request to open up the sub so they searched for someone who would do it.
I dont want to defend them, i allready cleared my account over there but from a business perspective its a normal reaction. If your employees (even if they work without payment) dont follow your instructions you search for someone who does follow them.
And the new mod might be a prick for backstabbing your protest but thats just a opinion. If there are enough users who want to keep using the sub, regardless of reddits shitty behaviour, its ok to reopen it and none of the old mods has a right to hold it "hostage" for their protest.
She has some criticisms for her past as an attorney, but I’m not sure why she’s so disliked now. What has she done to engender such distaste from the public?
Day 2 here, and I can see the growth already. Personally I really like the notion of how its gonna shape up in the future but at the same time I really feel for the average user as of now its too complex to understand the working and how the cross servers thing is working. Yeah there will never be a perfect middleway. Either you have a lot of small kingdoms where sometimes some of them go rogue or you got one big one where the Leaders literally rule the whole place.
I think feddiverse will be the better option in the long run after some things get tweaked a bit more.
Not trying to argue with you as you are correct as far as i see it....
Having a whitelist federation List would be worse in my opinion cause it would effectively kill the whole "everyone can start his own small instance". It would be a whole lot of work if every small instance has to get approval from the bigger instances to federate with them. And for the bigger instances to process all applications for federation.
Are you sure about that? I understood it the way that the defederation works in both directions.
You cant see the content from the other instance and they cant see yours.
Im doing ("did") a lot more of up/downvoting than writing longer replys to different topics.
It should be much easier for a company to scan a wide array of users on their voting behaviour than reading their posts one by one.
But its a quick way to interact. Its a bit about how everyone conceives a downvote.
For one it may be a "that post goes against my opinion" for others its more of a "your dumb to say something like that".
Edit:seems like im having a problem connecting my answer to the correct post...tried to click reply but after sending it the answer lands on a wrong place it seem.
Lets say after 5 years of kbin running and lots of user interactions.
-It should be really easy to pick out 50 or 100 (for example politcal) threads and filter all the up and downvotes. After that you could identify for most of the users which direction they are leaning.
-in the same scenario its much more work to read (or train a AI or bot or something)all the posts to interpret what point of view all these users have.

Nobody is forcing you to intermingle with other fediverse instances. But without that fedivers stuff it would be just the next digg/reddit/whatever service that goes the usual livecircle and ends up killing itself....

Really appreciating that a lot of help and guides are provided for newer users. That whole fediverse thing can be a bit overwhelming if you are starting to tinker around with it.
