If it's a given that I have enough money to afford maintenance and insurance, I'd go with fancy car. At first I thought I'd go with the boat, since I live near a couple of busy bodies of water, but I'm not sure I'd want to go through the hassle of setting up a business with just one boat.
On one hand (heh) there's apparently evidence to suggest that handwriting activates parts of the brain which aren't typically activated by just typing something out. I can see how that would be the case and why it could sometimes be useful....
I do plenty of both, but I think I prefer handwriting things. For stuff like journalling, I like to write by hand, because I feel like I'm less distracted by phone or computer notifications. Plus it's more personal in a way, if that makes sense. Like those are my words made with my writing, not just letters on the screen.
With taking quick notes, if I'm on the go and away from my computer, my phone has a built in stylus (it's an old Samsung Note 8), so I just jot stuff down with that. At my desk, my computer is covered in sticky notes lol.
I also take a lot of notes when I play video games. Like a ridiculous amount. I usually end up printing off a guide/map/etc and then making my own additional notes on it by hand. I find it's easier when I'm playing something on the PC, so I'm not having to alt tab to mark something down every time.
As far as things "disappearing", the same can be said for anything typed up. Depending on where and how you're storing your stuff, if you lose power or the internet goes down, it's gone for the time being.
All in all, it's just personal preference.
Let's say we're at a place where personal AI is a thing. You can have it speak with any voice from any person in history or any media without any copyright issues or the like. Who would you want to voice yours?...
Mine is going to be laid back if all goes according to plan. I'm going to do some birding with a friend tomorrow morning, then I'm headed to a used bookstore to buy a copy of "the pricess bride" that I talked myself out of the other day (I've never read it). Then I'm hitting the farmers market and then relaxing at home for the...
I'm finally getting a quiet weekend where I don't have to go anywhere. I plan on finishing this week's to-do list, and then Saturday night a friend and I are having our weekly anime night. We're watching Demon Slayer. Then Sunday I want to watch The Amazing Mr. X from 1948.
The NY Post got their hands on some pretty damning text messages where this CEO was irresponsibly downplaying the risks and cutting the ticket price for a potential prospect. I know he’s dead now, but I hope some sort of regulations come out of this.
I don't understand how this guy kept saying this sub was the safest thing, and then turned around and had passengers sign a waiver stating that death was in the cards. I would think that would make someone question whether the guy actually thought it was safe. Then again, I'm not rich and dumb (just poor and dumb lol). The disconnect is amazing.
While that is true, and as the person below mentioned there are a lot of things with risk that have waivers, you don't necessarily see the people making you sign those waivers telling everyone that said risks are stupid to even consider, as Rush did in the texts he sent.
The first (and best) BioShock. I have no idea how I got away with so many years of not knowing the story or nothing being spoiled, but man, playing that for the first time was an absolute trip, especially that part.
I absolutely agree. It's not my favorite or my most played, but it is, imo, one of the best stories and atmosphere by far. I love games I can replay, but for BioShock, it isn't so much the replayability as it is that feeling I had the first time. That being said I've replayed it many times lol.
The funniest part of the article is how he's slamming the actions of unpaid moderators while saying "they’re mad because they used to get something for free, and now it’s going to be not free".
I didn't have an account, but I ended up uninstalling the app I was using. I couldn't support it, even as an "outside' lurker. I'm happy to be here though!
I'm going to my sister's baby shower tomorrow, and then on Father's Day we're having a cookout! I'm honestly more excited for the cookout because there will be smoked brisket :)
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure All Star R is on Xbox Game Pass! And I am more than awful at it. It's kinda similar to Mortal Kombat, so I don't know why I thought I would be good at it in the first place... But I'm having fun, so I guess that counts??
omg! That's so much change to happen so quickly. It's always good to have a good outlook, and I am sending all my best energy to y'all.
Also the earrings sound super cute!

Not just with subs going private, but with users purging their comments and posts along with their accounts. Just last night I was talking to a friend about something and wanted to pull up a post from a while back. Lo and behold, deleted and gone.

If you were given a choice between a fancy boat or a fancy car, which would you pick? You can't sell either.
I'm not sure yet about my answer
How do y'all feel about writing things by hand?
