Block communities spamming gaza / war / techbro

I would agree with you if those communities were/are created to post content about gaza / war / techbro. But in most cases, those communities are generic, about news and technology, so when you block them, you also block other content that is not about gaza / war / techbro.

Unfortunately, the only way to kick tankies out of 196 is to get 196 out of Lemmy. Because Lemmy is being developed by two tankies themselves, with a third one about to join. And because despite being defederated from hexbear and lemmygrad, lemmy.ml is still a free roam place for tankies from those two cesspool places. So, either defederate yourselves from lemmy.ml (nobody would do that), or fork lemmy into a new clean place (not impossible, but difficult to perform), or do as beehaw will do soon.

To be honest, I didn't even know I had ASD until I got my diagnosis for ADHD, which I didn't know I had either. And now that ADHD is, let's say, under some control, my ASD traits are more evident.

EDIT: I was diagnosed 6 months ago, just for clarification, at 35 years old.

OK, then let's check my idiocy.

  • Web-browser? I'm using Firefox since the beginning of this year.

  • Email? I've an account on ProtonMail for serious stuff, and Gmail for garbage, less serious stuff and spam collector.

  • Cloud storage? Well, unless anyone can gift me a Raspberry Pi, a hub and an ELI5 Nextcloud manual for dummies, I have to keep using Google Drive.

  • Videos? That depends. I'm watching videos on Youtube, but I'm uploading my own content on Peertube.

  • Phone? I need another ELI5 custom rom manual for dummies, and it has to be specific for my device. Otherwise, I'll keep using Android, but with most minimum usage of Google apps.

I think that's all.

Kbin is not federated with lemmygrad, luckily. In fact, I think that lemmygrad only federates with lemmy.ml. I've my concerns regarding lemmy.ml because of what fedi.tips said on Mastodon, but so far I don't see anything odd. Although I prefer Kbin, to be honest, or other Lemmy instances.

Sometimes it can be very difficult to create a community and start posting stuff. I'm talking about meme content or comic content, like those in r/polandball, r/funny, etc.

Obviously it's a beginning, and all beginnings can be tough. But lacking creativity is tougher.

Although I appreciate your support, and you're absolutely right. Anything is better than lurking.

The only thing I used reddit for was to lurk, see photos, upvote and read some comments or posts. I was barely active during this couple of years with a new account, after deleting an old one. Sometimes I saw it, and still see it, difficult for me to be active because of karma, some kind of polarization or toxicity, even on safe subreddits.

The good thing is that here, karma is non existent. Yes, you can upvote or downvote posts and comments, but those votes don't go to you as karma, so you're not affected. And that really helps neurodivergent people, as it's my case too (rejection sensitive dysphoria, I think it's called, one comorbidity of ADHD).

So, yes, fuck Reddit, and I'll stay here as long as it lasts.
