@Ignacio@kbin.social

Spanish guy, who likes open source software and has just discovered the fediverse (as of 28th of April, 2022). I like video games, and indie and retro music. I’m a student. I’m officially diagnosed with ADHD and ASD since January, 2023.

America is a continent and Americans are people from that continent (Canadians, Usonians, Mexicans, Cubans, Argentinians, Brazilians...)

I don't really understand that fixation in saying "prime minister" when Spain never had prime ministers, but presidents.

Opinion: The ruin of becoming a meme (elpais.com)

Spain has exported a handful of powerful memes, some of which have become classics. For example, eccehomo: the failed restoration of a painting in a church in Borja (Zaragoza), by Cecilia Giménez, appeared in newspapers and media around the world. Or the subtitled videos of Risitas, who even starred in a pizza advertisement in...

It has content in Spanish or related to Spain somehow, but here it is.

Beehaw is not forking Lemmy. It's just leaving Lemmy for their own webpage, a forum or something like that. I really appreciate the idea of forking Lemmy, but nobody seems to think about that.

Being defederated from lemmy.ml should be a reason to celebrate. Who does want to gather on an instance that federates with fascist bears and grads?

On the other hand, as I commented on another post of this community and previously on other posts of other communities, this should be a good reason to fork lemmy. But...

Moldovan president says Russia is 'buying' voters by funnelling money to pro-Moscow political parties, seeks backing for pro-Europe policies (www.reuters.com)

Moldova’s pro-European president, Maia Sandu, who has denounced Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and accused Russia of trying to oust her in a coup, said Moscow had channelled the equivalent of nearly $5 million in two months in financing for “criminal groups”. These include a banned party led by fugitive businessman Ilan...

My ad blocker works wonderfully. Meanwhile, I'm starting to contribute with content on Peertube. It's something at least.

It looks like you shared an AMP link. These should load faster, but AMP is controversial because of concerns over privacy and the Open Web.

The Lemmy Developers are now personally blocking and banning users and communities critical of Tankies and the Developers. (sh.itjust.works)

A few years ago, the Lemmy Developers decided to keep their political views on lemmygrad while keeping lemmy.ml more neutral. Now they are banning users who are critical of their actions and bigotry....
