It's been awhile since they were actually on sale on steam, so I thought it was worth pointing out for anyone who wants to buy them. I've personally been waiting for Dark Souls 3 to go on sale on Steam for a long time.
Yeah, I caved and bought Dark Souls 2 back in the spring full price, but I’m really hoping Dark Souls 3 goes on sale finally. It’s the only one I’m missing on PC, but it hasn’t been on sale (on steam) in years.
I enjoyed Brotato on the deck, it’s a very good pick up and play title that works well with the deck. Vampire survivor is also good, but it has performance issues on the deck by the late game.
Final Fantasy X worked great on deck, so if it’s on sale and you like JRPGs I’d recommend it
Yeah, I had the exact same reaction to that post (also a kbin user). I do hope at some point down the line, there's an option to display the source site for a post on the front page (so I can see it's technology.beehaw instead of technology.kbin for instance). I know you can find out by going into the post itself, but it would be convenient to see it from the front page
I've been playing the original Quake, as well as Deus Ex. I'm not normally a fan of boomer shooters, but Quake has been surprisingly fun and interesting. I realize this might be a complaint for some, but I appreciate the simplified arsenal of weapons. It puts more focus on enemies and the level design, which I appreciate.
Deus Ex is fun, but it hasn't had the moment where it fully clicks for me just yet, like Prey did. I'm still enjoying it, but I'm curious to see if it really grips me like some other immersive sims do.
There was supposedly a post the other day about a bug that would let people creat a ton of accounts using a bot. My understanding is that pretty much the next day the amount of new users increased immensely, so the timing of it so seems a little suspect
I just now got around to reading this. I really dig the first chapter. It'll be interesting seeing this and Do Retry develop alongside each other. I'm guessing this will be more "grounded" and Do Retry will be more weird.
Personally, the Wii U Pro controller was great. The form factor was just right for me and the battery on them lasted forever. I think my only complaint was the D pad, but even then I could be misremembering.

This is one of my favorite things about the Reddit Dark Souls community and I'd love to see us keep it going here. They organize these two week events for everyone to play the games together. To each their own, but I vastly prefer kbin's mobile site to the default reddit mobile app. Kbin doesn't have gesture controls / swiping, but I'll accept that sacrifice for better readability and space usage.
Not the person you replied to, but I don't think there's a mobile app yet. I've been using the page on my phone's browser and it's been pretty good so far.
The Dark Souls franchise has finally got a discount on steam (store.steampowered.com)
