@Kranerian@kbin.social

Definitely not a darkfriend.

If it lurks on a reef and has two sets of teeth, that's a moray!

Does this mean we'll need a new version of the game Wingspan?

Remove the risk of losing the ability to cast Wish.

Remove the limitation on what you can do with the second action from Haste.

A lot of spells only have one sentence about resisting or avoiding the effect. Like remove the save from Polymorph on an unwilling target, or remove the ability to discern most illusion spells.

Wait, is Guinan included because she served him alcohol or did I really miss something?

Kranerian,

This is correct. Water has an extremely high heat capacity, meaning that it takes a lot of energy to warm or cool it by any noticable amount. Land does not. So while the different amount of sunlight in summer/winter changes the land temperature by a large amount, the ocean barely changes. Most of the land on Earth is in the northern hemisphere and therefore we get those temperature swings.

I'm in my 30s and still do that. No reason to spend extra effort to give out info they don't need.

I haven't played in about 6 years. Is it still microtransaction hell?

Kranerian,

That's such a low bar that it's clipped through the floor.

I'm still surprised he didn't try to take air force one to Russia on Biden's inauguration day.

Acorn woodpeckers (𝘔𝘦𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘱𝘦𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘷𝘰𝘳𝘶𝘴) are the ultimate hoarders of the bird world (lemmy.dbzer0.com)

This species of bird uses trees for winter storage, which are called granary trees and may have up to 50,000 holes, each filled with an acorn. The acorn woodpecker’s main food source is insects, but acorns serve as key nutritional backup, allowing the birds to make it through the winter....

Any chance of getting the source for that image? I've always loved the Ambassador class.

Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality by Eliezer Yudkowsky (hpmor.com)

I grew up with the Harry Potter series and loved it as a kid, but I can’t pretend it’s actually good writing. It’s full of all kinds of plot holes, the wizarding universe doesn’t make a lot of sense, there’s thinly veiled bigotry (particularly prominent in the naming of characters), and Rowling as a person is all sorts...

As far as I know he's not done anything specifically problematic. It's just that the LessWrong community he runs is entirely made up of the type of people who are convinced they're smarter than everyone around them and feel duty bound to say so.

That's a weird way to spell Constitution Refit.

Isn't that just because it suppresses breathing in general?

Kranerian,
Kranerian avatar

No, that's pretty much it. I usually just try to do a ballpark guess based on AC / HP / attacks. Sometimes you get really one sided matchups though with the random modifiers, like a fire attuned thing vs something immune to fire, so watch out.

Why would I choose a picture of me when I can be a Sexy Shoeless God of War?

You. You did this to me. I've been playing this practically non stop for two weeks now.

It's hardly their fault, I'm sure if anyone had asked them about counting on their stuff to keep 5 people alive they would have reacted with horror like anyone else.

I replay Knights of the Old Republic 1&2 every so often. They're just so cozy to get wrapped up in.

Yeah, anyone who thinks that 3d printers are the answer to everything hasn't spent weeks trying to calibrate the damn things.

David Tennant would make a great anything, but it'd be especially cool to see him as a villain again.

SimCity 2000. I loved building giant grid cities and then destroying them. My dad was always kind enough to cheat in a bunch of money for me.
