LostXOR

@LostXOR@kbin.social

kbin's not looking great currently so I've shifted to fedia.io: https://fedia.io/u/LostXOR

LostXOR,

"You can also opt out, and only have to give me 1 billion."

LostXOR,

Wow I didn't know that was uncommon, it happens to me too. I don't have any clue what causes it unfortunately.

Cutout.Pro, an AI-powered visual design platform, leaked 20M records, including email and IP addresses, names and salted MD5 password hashes, which have then been broadly distributed. (haveibeenpwned.com)

Haha, brand new company with MD5 password hashes. Maybe they oughta consult about securities with their/other AIs more often. Hopefully, nobody did anything naughty on the site....

LostXOR,

As long as the other 18 characters are randomly generated that seems secure enough, and a decent way to keep track of which passwords are associated with which accounts.

Why is lemmy.ml still advertising as an instance for foss and privacy enthusiasts when its not ?

Lemmy.ml has fully went communist even their application needs you to copy paste a part from a communits book and that’s ok by me every politkcal group has their own instance and has the right to do as they wish . But they should really change their about from foss and privacy advocated to communist leaning ....

LostXOR,

As a kbin user I've had a good experience on it.

LostXOR,

Is that when you're missing a chromosome? I don't think that usually turns out too well.

LostXOR,

I got an acceleration of 1.5G for the test, did you forget a factor of 2 or something? Still certainly not an enjoyable experience for passengers, but I assume it would accelerate over a much longer distance if a full track was built.

LostXOR,

Yes, I calculated the acceleration required to accelerate to 387MPH (173m/s) in 1km.
v^2 = 2ax
(173m/s)^2 = 2a(1000m)
a = 14.96m/s^2 = 1.53g

LostXOR,

Adding in Earth's gravity it's about 1.8G total, applied at a weird angle, which might be too much for some people.

LostXOR,

That's very interesting. I wonder if active prediction and control of instabilities like that will be necessary, or if fusion reactors can be made more stable. I guess time will tell.

LostXOR,

Or just... Stay on Windows 10? There's nothing wrong with it compared to Windows 11 (though Linux is usually a better choice).

LostXOR,

I remember another video of this from a while back, really cool!

LostXOR,

Throw it in a fire from a safe distance?

LostXOR,

Zero stars? I think there are at least a few stars, in the sky at night.

LostXOR,

wine has problems with a lot of games unfortunately, especially ones with any sort of anticheat.

LostXOR,

Yeah, that's what our immune system is for.

LostXOR,

When a glucose molecule and a fructose molecule love each other very much...

LostXOR,

You still have a much smaller area to place your feet, it definitely makes it harder.

LostXOR,

As a Minnesotan I can confirm this is the #1 issue in our politics right now.

LostXOR,

Any recommendations for a fairly cheap one? It would definitely come in handy.

LostXOR,

I'm in the US too. I'm not sure what my PC's max wattage is, but it has an 850W power supply IIRC so no more than that.

LostXOR,

Yeah, I have a 64GB phone and I've run out of storage a few times, but when I do I just copy my older photos and videos off to free up a bunch of space.
