I tried looking around for a changelog but I couldn't find one anywhere (let me know if you know where it is, I know you can look at the commits/merged PRs on Codeberg but there's a lot to dig through)....

I don't even care about the API prices and I used to use the official Reddit mobile app before migrating.
I've been looking for an open source Reddit like platform since the Twitter drama started and people started migrating to Mastodon, but there wasn't much content on them, until now, so I jumped on the band wagon.
The arbitrary 8.5-9 hour workday drives me nuts, because a lot of the time, I really only have 3 or 4 hours worth of work to do. I generally work quickly and I value my time. Can I make a decent living doing something that gives me this kind of flexibility?
@ENEMYGUNSHIP. I've hardly touched reddit in several days. I'm thinking of keeping it for the random search I can't seem to find answer elsewhere, but I am happy here, most of the topics I went to are starting to or have moved over here, so bye bye reddit.

At this point if the users want to continue using Reddit, that's their choice and I don't think holding a subreddit hostage is gonna help. I like the non-intrusive suggestions such as promoting alternatives. The users ultimately decide whether the platform survives. I'm staying on kbin because I don't like the direction Reddit is (has been) going, I'm just glad this whole situation enlightened me to good alternatives. This is just one more step in the wrong direction and people will continue to leave if they continue to make the user experience worse.
Seeing all the Reddit bullshit from the last week, I think the thing I like the most is that we're not part of a centralized big company, which is trying to create a monopolistic web.

PSA: anyone still looking to protest, promote fediverse, any form of rebellion ON REDDIT, the place to do it is r/pics. you can post anything with basically no censorship. as long as you mention John Oliver somehow, the mods aren't going to bother you!
r/pics is wide open to all kinds of anti reddit posts, calls for spez to resign, whatever you want with the current rules right now....
