I only see a handful of communities posts, but miss a lot from smaller communities that aren’t as active but do get daily posts. Reddit blended in smaller communities really well and it’s something I’m struggling with here.
I actually like sorting by 'New" on fedi - it promotes engagement in new content and it's generally decent content here as opposed to what you see in "new" on reddit...
A couple of weeks ago, @shazbot made this post about a project that they were working on. Since then, @shazbot, @ori, @minnieo and I have been hard at work, and we are excited to finally announce the official release of kbin Enhancement Suite (KES)!...
Kbin Notification Panel for sure, it's SO much better than the vanilla notifications.
I'd like to see @raltsm4k 's Floating Subs List make the cut instead of that Subscription Panel though. Its the same functionally, just more aesthetically pleasing.
Like Gotye and Kimbra sang: Reddit is “someone that I used to know”! Browsing Lemmy, with some subscribed Kbin magazines, fills that need and I haven’t thought about going and checking out Reddit at all. The one subreddit I still do miss is r/BORU - the (probably fake) stories with updates was great reading! Thanks Lemmy...
It's getting there. Kbin just needs a full-featured app and I'll be ready to settle in here for the next decade. ArtemisApp is coming along nicely, though.
Harriette seems to agree there is a need to mark posts as read when voted on, it would probably be pretty small request to add a hide option from there. Maybe add your concerns there?
+1 for Brother HL printers. 2 toner bars got me through 3 years of nursing school.
If I need something printed in color, I'll just let a professional do it.
Why YSK: Online platforms, particularly some very prominent offenders, may artificially spike prices before creating “discounts”. Whether this is intentional or the result of third party sellers fighting amongst themselves, I cannot say. Either way, don’t blindly purchase something because of a deal (camelcamelcamel is...
There were genuinely some good deals on Amazon yesterday though. I ended up buying a newer kindle for myself because it was the lowest price since last November according to camelcamelcamel.
His first show brought in over 26 million “video views,” which is a Twitter metric that records a view as anyone who watches a video for more than 2 seconds. While the metric’s reliability has been questioned, it has nevertheless declined significantly since the show’s launch, with Carlson’s most recent show only...
So, let me preface this for context by saying that I'm an ICU nurse. You would be amazed at how many (and often) people come through my unit, literally on their death bed, who will wake up just long enough to get angry, explain how they "think Biden should be tried for treason" or something similarly inflammatory, and then tell me to put the TV on Fox news. They may only be conscious for a little bit, but this is a revolving conversation... These people live for this hateful content, they consume it during every waking moment - but 9 times out of 10 they are too fucking old to go searching for it on the internet.
Fox 'news' is the megaphone and Tucker isn't on the horn anymore.
That was not at all what I expected to come from that man's mouth when he started speaking. I live in Missouri; people that speak with that sort of drawl here are not typically as thoughtful with their words or opinions as he is, and it's nice to see that for a change. Thanks for posting this.
Both Win 10 & 11 have been great from a user standpoint. The only complaints I've had (or heard about from friends) have been about forced updates that couldn't be disabled when Win10 went to R2.
Why don't all subscribed communities show up on 'subscription' feed?

Feature request: Hide voted posts
Pardon me if this should go into @artemisquiver, but it'd be lovely if I could toggle a switch and make any posts I've voted on go away.
Hey, so there's a circus to your left, a carnival to your right, and a mall ahead, which way do you go?
I have a funky idea, so this is both a genuine convo starter and an experiment in getting eyes & posts here, so uhh, I hope this is cool!
Welcome to /m/enhancement, the official magazine for kbin Enhancement Suite
If you have any questions about KES, or just want to talk about it, feel free to post here!
