Interesting that it will apparently be considered Canon to the video games.

Looking forward to trying this, seems like a great game to play with the squad

Anti-lag has been in the amd drivers for a long time. This seems more to be caused by Valve rushing CS2 out the door so the drivers couldn't be thoroughly tested.

NOTE! The content contained in this article is based on Radeon™ Software Adrenalin 2019 Edition 19.12.1 and earlier Adrenalin Edition drivers.

Considering the purpose of Tensor, I'm sure it's a lot faster on phones with tensor chips.

They probably just need time to speed it up for older phones - which is just fine for them because of the business impacts.

So nice to see this game progressing along - well worth the investment.

Seems to readily impact 50% of the entire function of an email app (to write emails).

Seems like a weird hill for Proton to not want to climb down, considering their position within the email client marketplace. I would absolutely make UX a high priority.

Will be curious to see if they ever add transient timers for commands. Google will happily turn off the lights in 5 minutes as a command. In Home Assistant I'd have to go in, create a timer helper, add the light to turn off....

The sooner Android accepts RCS is dead, the sooner we can choose the next messaging platform that matters (www.androidpolice.com)

I’m just sitting here frustrated because I’m wanting my family to move away from messaging me over SMS (they mainly use iOS), but they refuse to download any extra apps. But Google’s RCS really doesn’t look like a solution either since it mainly just seems to be a way of enforcing Android as an ecosystem, and they...

This (year old) article is funnier in hindsight/context of AP's own article.

Distributed work is here to stay: It’s estimated that 48% of all knowledge workers will either be working fully remotely or in a hybrid environment by the end of 2023, and that 70% of the global workforce will work remotely or from flexible locations at least five days a month by 2025.

That is really funny for Google to acknowledge.

Also I'm totally fine with Outlook adding this (as they have).

Some emails just need a 👍🏻, not an actual response.

The researchers suggest that these relocating neurons are only temporary guests in the larval mushroom body, taking on necessary larval functions for a while but then returning to their ancestral tasks in the adult brain. That’s in keeping with the idea that the adult brain is the older, ancestral form within the lineage and the simpler larval brain is a derived form that came much later.

Huh, that's pretty interesting.

Would also be carbon free to help meet their goals for carbon free infrastructure. Though I'd be curious about hoe they plan to handle waste...

Power is USB-C, but the ports aren't because most PC accessories are still USB-A

Association of Internet Researchers Moving to Mastodon (aoir.org)

In October 2022, Elon Musk completed his acquisition of Twitter. Almost a year later and we have witnessed the gutting of the content moderation department, a huge increase in hate speech, and in real terms the end to API-based researcher access to data. Twitter (or ‘X’) isn’t just unfriendly but actually unsafe for many...

Good hopefully more researchers follow suit - Musk's actions and support of misinformation directly contradicts every scientific ideal.

As Gabe Newell believes, piracy is ultimately a service problem - when games are easier to pirate than buy them, people will pirate them.

Well, glad I don't use their products - this just ensures I never will.

The rest of the world doesn’t use SMS/RCS/iMessage as much as WhatsApp and the like, so the US is pretty much lagging behind everyone else on this anyway.

Not sure I want to end up with Facebook controlling my messaging...

Someday, school stuff like proctortrack will work with Firefox.... someday..

Out of the blue, seven-year-old FPS Titanfall 2 has fully working multiplayer again (www.pcgamer.com)

Beloved robot friend simulator and first-person shooter Titanfall 2 has had a matchmaking problem for years. Even after its previous server issues were fixed, players would still be disconnected if they had to queue for any length of time. And, given that Titanfall 2 came out in 2016, it's pretty likely you'd be waiting in that...

Definitely recommend everyone play through the campaign, but the multi-player is pretty good too

Better off just using Firefox - I doubt they'd repeat all of the work of duet after removing it
