My spouse and I always have water bottles on hand since we live in warm climate. However, we forget that when we travel that this isn't the norm and have to explain to people why we do. Anyone else experience this?
I too live in a warm climate, but I didn't always live here, and tbh it's a relief to be somewhere hydration is normalised and everyone local is carrying a water bottle. Before, people would always tell me "just buy a coke if you get thirsty" - uh, excuse me?! Why would I buy a coke, when there is beautiful refreshing water to be had, smh
I'm kicking things off with the movie that got me interested in the whole kaiju genre to begin with, the classic Godzilla vs. Biollante! Get your tissues ready because this one is quite a tragic tale ;_; but Biollante has endured as one of my favourite kaiju of all time, I love the design of her forms and I still have my fingers...
Giving /m/chat a shoutout as a friendly place for casual convos, and /m/Horror is off to a quiet but promising start. :) I also visit /m/kbinMeta a lot, probably like many others!
Also I too am jumping on the self-promo wagon to plug /m/kaiju, for fans of big monsters across all media :3
@Shasdo scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page (any page), and in the right-hand corner there should be a menu to change your display language, directly underneath where the lightbulb and rss icons are
All right kaiju appreciators, here's the official welcome post! This is a place to share news, art, collector hauls, memes, conversations, videos, really anything as long as it features our biggest pals and is SFW (or safe for Minilla, as the case may be)....
just a note to say uhhh i'm going to try tinkering a little with the /m/kaiju css. not too much, just a few little tweaks here & there to try jazz it up slightly! so if you see some colour changes that is what is going on. :3

hi I'm Moth! I like horror movies, kaiju, drawing not-very-good pictures, beverages, music (mostly synthpop, crust, postpunk, ebm, death metal), plus a lot of other things that I never do long enough to get any good at but enjoy for a while anyway. One day, I hope to learn how to scubadive :)
@east oh no I hope it was still a melt and not a charcoal yet! I made pasta so it went kinda huge and soft and horrible ;_; then to add insult to injury it boiled over so I had to clean the stovetop (it kind of needed a clean anyway but still!)
How can I use the search bar to find a specific community? For example, I want to find gaming@beehaw but searching for gaming doesn't give me any useful results here. Am I missing something?
@kaishi@aeroniero head to the "Magazines" tab and use the search bar in that tab instead to find communities (i tested this with gaming@beehaw but you can also just put gaming and it will find it!)
I can see there's a /m/beer, /m/whiskey, /m/homebrewing and a handful of coffee-related ones but are there other beverage magazines around or a general beverage magazine? would especially be interested in a magazine for energy drinks if there is one >_>;...
yeah true! I am just not wanting to spread myself too thin or make something if it already existed! But if there isn't anything by tomorrow I might sally forth and do it anyway :P
What kind of horror do you like and what are some of your favorite horror movies? I've always loved eighties horror. I usually watch movies like The Lost Boys/Poltergeist/The Thing etc multiple times a year. If anyone else loves eighties b horror I strongly suggest they watch Night of the Demons. Share your favorites. Let's get the community started off with an easy one!
@Beasto Ooo I tried to watch Heck, the short it was based on, and that was enough for me to conclude I was not the right audience for Skinamarink! I'm glad it exists though, it is cool to have more experimental stuff finding success, but my attention deficit ass stood no chance with that one lmao.
I love those V/H/S movies, some segments are pretty average but I like the ethos of it and I will keep watching them as long as they keep making them! Though I'm waiting to see if they pull some bananas thing one year and the VHS will be scans of film from the 1930s or something wild like that
Oh nice! I haven't been adventurous enough to go digging around in those outside-the-comfort-zone reccs yet but I'm sure there will be some gems to discover :D
stumbled across this band recently and they combine 2 of my favourite things: kaiju & death metal :) they even have a song inspired by Mothra on their other release which makes me so happy!
Hard agree, their merch looks sick! I will have to save my pennies for a shirt at least. These guys are definitely on high rotation for my foreseeable future. :D
Welcome to /m/EnergyDrinks!
ULTRAMAN BLAZAR New Official Trailer (www.youtube.com)
Series starting from July 8th! Tsuburaya have said there will be English dub available online as well
People from Reddit or redditors, people from Boston are Bostonians, people from Canada are Canadian. What should the people of this site use for a demonym?
I've seen keebinetters, but that feels like trying to say Massachusettsian instead of Bay Stater....
Anyone else find it hard to go anywhere without a water bottle?

Hey keebinetters and fediverse, what are your favourite kbin/fediverse magazines (communities)?
Lets make a thread to post our niches that we have found here. Big magazines are ok too....
It's been a few years since I had my mischief, but let's get some cute pictures of rats in this magazine

Beverage kbins?

OC What are some of your most frequently visited websites?
Aside from (formerly) Reddit and (now) kbin, what are some of your favorite go-to websites, whether for information, wasting time, etc?
Hello. This is hopefully going to be the main place on kbin to talk about World of Warcraft
I don't really have any plans. I still don't know what is going to happen with reddit and the wow sub there. Only time will tell....
