Rambling Readers (@ramblingreaders@toot.community) (toot.community)

Do you know there's a #fediverse alternative to Amazon-owned #Goodreads? #BookWyrm is a social network for tracking your reading, writing reviews, and discovering what to read next. You can follow and interact with users on different #BookWyrm instances and on #Mastodon. You can import from a Goodreads CSV export. You can create...

They're trying to recycle that old Vince Foster conspiracy from the Clinton era. These folks are not very creative liars though admittedly their base doesn't really demand high quality misinformation.

'Stand with Trump' becomes rallying cry as Republicans amplify attacks on US justice system (apnews.com)

Moments after Donald Trump pleaded not guilty to federal charges that he hoarded classified documents and then conspired to obstruct an investigation about it, the Republicans in Congress had his back. Trump's mounting legal jeopardy has quickly become a political rallying cry as they rush to stand by the indicted former...

At least you all just had a commission that seems to have made some definitive statements about Boris today. (Not being Brit I fully admit to not understanding the full import or procedure, but at least it was gratifying to observe at least some repercussions.)

World of Warcraft Subreddit to Return Private Indefinitely in Protest of API Pricing (www.wowhead.com)

After participating in a 48-hour blackout protest against Reddit's decision to charge third-party developers for API access, moderators of the World of Warcraft subreddit have announced that the subreddit will be indefinitely returning to private mode in continued protest.

I'll admit, that was one of the few that I usually had pinned to the Reddit Enhancement Suite top bar and would browse. With it dark, there's little crack urge to check back (plus it's not like there's going to be any really good news about them tweaking Windwalker Monk in any significant way (aside from that measly 2% damage aura boost.)

I think I remember watching that one in the theater. We were kinda jazzed for it because of Lambert and Highlander fame (it wasn't that long ago in 1992). I also mainly remember the exploding coller things. Not a single plot point though.

I'll be honest... I basically don't track my reading. There are enough metrics in my life that I don't have control over, that I don't feel it necessary or useful to apply a tracking to what I do in my spare time. I try to make sure I get the book club book read before the monthly meeting, and otherwise I guess the tracking is the pile of books in the TBR pile and the read pile (and what's on bookshelves. I figure if I don't remember a book well enough to recommend it to someone, it was probably fairly forgettable, and if I do it was probably pretty memorable and that's good enough for me!

Just means you need to get extra book box sized boxes for moving :D

Doesn't hurt to invest in a hand truck so you don't have to carry them from point A to point B and can just load up the truck and wheel them around.

Yeah, I thought unmask was a poor choice there as well. Underscores might have been better.

Definitely been looking forward to this. I've really enjoyed HBS's projects in the past (particularly Shadowrun and Battletech).

@Torchwood Not sure how it happened, but the link that's created there tries to go to KBin. Perhaps this will work:

Hey KC! Is anyone alive out there?

@TheK Yep. Investigating this as reddit alternative. I always enjoyed browsing /r/kansascity. Not sure if this is the solution, but it's close.

@TheK Lenexa for the past .. 10-13 years I guess. It's an alright place to be I suppose. My needs are relatively simple :D.

You are in a spaceship corridor and you find this door. Where do you think does it lead you?

Remillard,

@2080game I think perhaps if you walk in this doorway, you will end up walking right back out going the other way. (The gears are the mechanism by which it transports you back to your origination point.)
