The entire point of medicine is to give nature the finger. The goal is to make natural selection obsolete. We can certainly screw it up enough to wipe us out though or be unfair with it.
I haven't head of art station till now. What's the difference from diviant art? Seems like its a censored platform as well from 30 seconds of googling.
As a hypothetical potential user, I see "no porn" from a site I seen a lot of porn on in the past. The first thing I think is a big corpo bough them and milked it dry. Even if it's not enforced the perception is "we caved to censorship for profit over letting our users do whatever doesn't break the law". They killed trust.

Blas Sanchez was nearing the end of a 20-year stretch in an Arizona prison when he was leased out to work at Hickman’s Family Farms, which sells eggs that end up in the supply chains of huge companies like McDonald’s, Target and Albertsons. I been trying to find one for a while. Its from a metal band and may be on a relatively new abum. I tried search, ai, looking though history and can't for the life of me find anything past a fragment of lyrics I can vaugly understand. I think IRS from a rather mainstream band but not one I'm familiar enough with.
I don't remember enough and most of its hard to understand the lyrics are close in sound but likely wrong AF.
Screaming:
... The more i see the less i feel. Reminding my self it not real...(no not Slipknot but its very similar sound to that lyric but Slipknot overwritten what I remembered since its sounds so damn close)
A slower section of the song, a whispery voice sings something along the lines of:
"...can you feel me from the side lines, friend"
May have been ~can you see me in the (spotlight or distance) friend.
New here. Migrated from Reddit. Still trying to figure out Lemmy - what’s everyone’s experiences like coming from Reddit and does Lemmy serve as a good alternative? Pros and cons/differences?...
Its the same small group vibe reddit lost when they got big and greedy. You will actually learn names outside of the top reposter.
The only thing I miss is the really neiche communities. There's some but they struggle to take off due to the smaller user base.
You do have to look though a few different servers till you find one that fits what you want. Mods are still clowns depending on the server. Avoid the top few instances to avoid power trippers. Some things never change.
I basically found a cozy server and settled in after nukeing my reddit account. I don't miss reddit.
I have many conversations with people about Large Language Models like ChatGPT and Copilot. The idea that “it makes convincing sentences, but it doesn’t know what it’s talking about” is a difficult concept to convey or wrap your head around. Because the sentences are so convincing....
A bit of a weird question: Can modern medicine be a threat to humanity long-term by greatly reducing effects of natural selection?
OK, I hope my question doesn’t get misunderstood, I can see how that could happen....
