BattleBit Remastered is the current game climbing the ranks on Steam, made by a tiny team of only 3 people it has regularly seen tens of thousands of players. It works on Steam Deck and desktop Linux but the anti-cheat may turn into a big problem.
I 100% agree. The game will likely run fine without anticheat and community servers will work that have AC requirements disabled. I definitely don't think we'll ever see a Linux port. They are also planning to move to FACEIT which will be even less Linux-capable.
Even if they "only" died as fast as that shows, if you are on the inside, you get crushed by the pressure on your body so fast you likely wouldn't realize anything.
i don't really have a reason to, as windows mostly just works, I'm wondering what benefits and downsides there are. will definitely dual boot at the beginning, but I'd be willing to fully move over if i like it...
I think it's odd to even compare. One is a brand new industry, the other is a hundreds of year old process in terms of learning how to make it efficient. Over time, I have no doubt lab-grown can out-carbon footprint actual cattle raising.
As the fediverse continues to grow, let's reflect on some of the things that we disliked most about posting/lurking on reddit and what we can do differently now that we have a chance to build something new.
If you are outraged by the request to not user the term "master race", I am not sure I'd want you on the instance. It implies one race is greater than another. Even in "humor" it's weird as fuck.
The reddit blackout is even more effectivte than expected! 5177/8829 (~60%) of subreddits are still dark [1] and the posts per minute are down to 1000 from 1400 [2]....
Right there with you, also had a 12 year old account and deleted it. It's absurd how this is going. Federated definitely feels more tight knit and less just a media consumption platform.
My partner just got a Z Flip 4, I definitely can see the appeal. It's pretty tempting honestly. I prefer the Apple ecosystem, but I love the cool innovations of phones like that. The little screen on the outside is so much more usable than I ever expected.
Curious if anyone else here is on kbin having issues accessing this. I tried altering the URL a few ways, can't seem to get to it on kbin. And yet, I am on /m/newcommunities@lemmy.world just fine.
The world can be a pretty strange place, but it's good to look back and find at least one thing that was good to you today. Be that a nice conversation, a cool picture you saw, a song you heard... whatever! But if you didn't find anything good today, here's your sign: go do one thing for you, right now. Even if its just a moment...
I went to join lemmygrad as I consider myself pretty far left leaning. The stickied post said that they think the DPRK should own all of Korea. That's all I needed to know to know why I don't agree with their ideologies.
Oh lovely, the thumbnail doesn't use photo orientation metadata.
Anyways, board information:
Viktus Sinne in atomic purple
DCS Paperwork keycaps
Cannonkeys Blush Light switches
Swagkeys Knight stabilizers, with Cannonkeys 3u wires for split space
Lindy LEMO from Space Holdings
using a custom plate I designed in ergogen for a fixed layout and the SST60 PCB for split space support.
Thanks! I love it, very heavy too with the big brass in the back.
I got used to flipped bars so long ago I'm just used to it now. I actually have the left one unflipped right now due to the stabilizers binding sometimes on press down 😔 need to balance my wires.
Right now, I’m playing the early access version of Baldurs Gate 3. I’m getting ready to put it down (frustrated: BG3 has the potential to be good, but without controller support, I’m getting really frustrated with the UI. ) and switch to Yakuza Like a Dragon....

Sooo... are we doing emojis here or nah 🤔
I don't care either way, but I always thought it was funny how reddit was so vehemently anti-emoji
