I'm very pleased with the 256 editions of Junina.

And even more to see that many of these editions are with friends, artists & collectors for whom I have great admiration.

For those who couldn't mint a piece, there are interesting editions available on the 2nd market:

Today's is actually yesterday's Creative Coding, but the first image here took nearly 24 hours to render, so I'm posting it tonight.

Inset circle packing using the Shapely library to help determine the radius of each circle to draw in

As fun as it was to wait in anticipation of the really detailed one, I prefer the simpler ones as you can see the pattern more clearly

(these are hard to see the pattern until you zoom in)

Experimenting with adding more colour to my previously-posted system.

I added a cool one to the collection this week. I figured out a way to replicate @ronikaufman's recent Truchet spiral images (https://openprocessing.org/sketch/1978420) using relatively simple nested loops of circles. This allows it to be scaled up to high resolution without issues. I got his permission to add it, and also incorporated many variations, including several new ones, that can be uncovered through interaction.

Work in progress.

The paths of 100 double pendulums are traced in each picture, with itty bitty differences in the initial velocities.

The butterfly effect, visualized.

Right now I have each series end after an arbitrary 250 steps, so the next step is to get more thoughtful about the exit conditions.

Thin white lines on a black background trace the paths of 100 double pendulums with very similar (but

Here's another image from the same series of experiments. These are very loosely based on my previous "Harmonium" project, but with the goal of pushing the space filling algorithm past its original goals.

I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of mechanical keyboards suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened.

1/ The online group show Strange Skies on @albadotart features six works of that have left me anxious to see the final results like few others have so far.

@Haiver has brought together an absolutely amazing group of artists to show their visions of unnatural landscapes, of liminal spaces that immediately strike a note within us beyond our conscious recognition, speaking to a more visceral knowledge.

3/ Realm by @KRANKARTA

This artwork is a perfect amalgamation of the artist's most impressive works. It blends the technical complexity of Quantum Folly with the aquarelle smoothness of Aquarelle or Drop and crafts dreamscapes inspired by the cover art of classic sci-fi novels.

It strikes a chord of nostalgia from my childhood days of devouring book after book from my father's collection and manages to look both strange and comfortable.
