@kerr shampooing the carpets and might actually go for a walk this arvo in this lovely winter sunshine. I know it's not exciting but since I haven't able to go for long walks for nearly two years until recent medical treatment, it's pretty wonderful to me :)

How widely do you define Brisbane when you're talking to people who live outside the SEQ region?

Do you strictly interpret 'Brisbane' as the BCC area, or will you tell people you live 'in Brisbane' when you're just shy shy of Caloundra, Ipswich, or Toowoomba? I will always call Redcliffe, 'Brisbane', even though it was established long before Brisbane, but exclude Ipswich, but I don't have any good reason for either....

@BootlegHermit Yeah. From the report, the driver was seriously violent, aggressive, and uncontrollable. They had to tase him as well. I wasn't posting to criticise the police (for once) but just because it's (a) interesting and (b) just down the road from me :)

@SeeStars It's called coalition building and soft diplomacy. Biden is a master of it. The last thing you want is to alienate a powerful nation like India or China and drive them further towards Russia. Trump never understood that because he's an idiot.

Unfortunately soft diplomacy means shaking hands with some horrible people :(

We're getting our roof replaced, and also had some electrical work done recently. Both tradies have said, more or less explicitly, that work has slowed right down because of EOFY and interest rates rises. The roofer even said he was hoping for a winter hailstorm!...

Um, that's pretty much what icing is supposed to do. No one is advised to keep icing a sprain past a couple of days
