I watched and really enjoyed the first season of Cells at Work and like the premise of Dr Stone. I also love biology so I’m definitely biased lol, but what do y’all think?
@barnyard_noise hmm does the hero is op but... count? I learned a lot: like if you yell loud enough you can nuke a slime. And I learned that humans canto fly. In BASTAAAARD!!! I learned the deaper the voice the more scantly clad women are atracted to you, that you can survive falls from space, nuke entire towns with the literal wave of a hand, but only ever other day because it's a level 20 spell. Fists of the North Star taught me that with a high pitched squeal my legs can do mach 20.
lol surely that's all scientifically correct right? :P
So there’s a chain of police-themed donut shops in mid-Michigan, run by retired cops, where patrons “can even pose for a mugshot, or a picture behind bars”…
@civicDetroitDan lol what the actual? why the hell would want to pose for being busted? that's just begging for something to go awry. and just also wtf? LOL WOWZA how do you find these things?
@gibbedygook lol it took this long? omg! I got muted for saying I had a awful experience with a business. but a bunch of gushing creepypasta reviews were ok.
@gibbedygook What is it about..how I say. I strangely specific kind of person from oddly specific areas. Where they bullshit reviews? And why am I not surprised crunchies bit on the bs hook line and sinker? sigh.
@gibbedygook lol yep. lol let me tell you something. I had. key word had a bunch of cool af remixes of songs from some local artists on youtube. a few gave me wavs or mp3s to put up on youtube. I liked the remixes. a bunch of classical, some were remixed 80s music. So I put them on youtube, in a playlist. Just saying it was free and were good remixes. Others were rare AF recordings of classical pieces.
I don't know how fast it was for google to winge about coppy right...but it was fast.
but bullshit reviews from bots? that was tollerated...egad.
Hadn’t realized how reliant upon Reddit I’d become for news and interesting things until after it turned to shit and I quit it. @SemioticStandard also because a bunch of chilren want the world to burn, google resaults for potential questions that go to reddit tell me you people deleted stuff. let me drill this into your heads:
OVER A FUCKING APP?!
do you have any idea how just stupid a look that gives.
MA' PRINCIPLES MA' PRINCPLES MAMAMAMAMAMAMAMA
oh right but some of us sometimes have real issues, that once in a while google used to pull from reddit. and because of you peoples tantrum. a lot of that's gone.
Congrats: you did one better than have a spaz attack. you had one that burned bridges, and took down random ocasionally sort of usefull deets for problems.
How is that ok?
@stopthatgirl7 or I want to slap both sides so hard their chimp uncle way back in the year of the titmouse feels it. I mean you people didn't think things through to good or something. nuking, and paving. All because of a single app is a bit psychotic, and kind of unstable.
Not that that forum was super amazing. But com'on now.
Hello Lemmings (I have no idea what Lemmy users are called) I'm a reddit migrator. I'm still a little confused, but I'd like to learn. How do I find communities? If I want to discuss Warhammer or Steam games, or something like that, what's the best way to find that content? If it matters I am on the phone app.
Regarding Beehaw defederating from lemmy.world and sh.itjust.works, this post goes into detail on the why and the philosophy behind that decision. Additionally, there is an update specific to sh.itjust.works here....
@Negatively_Positive yeah he typed a lot of words just to say we don't like to play nice with others. and because one website had a tantrum...er excuse me still having a tantrum our ABCDEGFLBAIDSHIVLBCDHQCMOSHDDRTCLOLFAQLMFAOROFL asses didn't like one person being a jerk. we'll take it out on everyone pout stamping feet, so their.
Me? I came out of curiosity. I might stay for the cookies. and if fedverse gets it's ass in gear? might be a kind of cool place to post dumb stuff.
Having one instance or server or realm or what ever. Instantly having a meltdown. post a masters distorginaztion comittee level set of excuse, as to why they're not going to play nice with others. Not exactly a good first experience, or good look. Like c'mon now people. I'm just guessing you can do better than this.
@rknuu Fair enough. Man their's so much potential. I think it was some kind of cosmic something. Because I had been curius about the fedverse, a friend of the family mentions it a lot. So I said to myself the other day let me google around for how to to try it out. Hillarously the same day I did? and tried to sign up to a bunch of random ones. I think beehaw might have been one. kbin was having almost nonstop cloudflare errors. I went oooh nooo, I'm trying this out about the same time all kinds of uspet redditors are here? this isn't going to go well, is it. And sure enough: someone was a dick on beehaw, pookie and tod on shitjustworks were trolling, some karens on mastodon were...karen something about can't find their usual reddit subs. Though in those particular cases I have no idea if they tried more general topics.
I've found servers about general topics I'm into. Anime being one of the bigger ones.
Well fair enough casual users like me being basically getting caught in the crossfire of reddit drama. is just unfortinate?
Did you ever have that feeling on reddit of "I better word my post just right, otherwise AutoMod will take it down"? Some subs had such strict auto moderating that it was a crap shoot to post something. Not so here. I know there's value in moderation, and I'm sure Lemmy/kbin/etc. will add more of it with time. But, for now, it...
@Skovheks When I was a yute I loved the living crap out of jupitor. I'd read book after book on the topic. Well when I was in gradeschool, we had to make a science project that, if built, would work. I naturally decided to make a model of a workable place to live on jupitor. And what a native alien might be like their. What I came up with for a native ended up looking like a cool look pretty large jellfish+elf like humanoid. And guessed (theorized) : as long as they stayed close to the upper bits in very compact, floating homes and cities. they could live their just fine. I think I even devised, a travel system that'd use very compressed gas to go flying around place to place.
lol now many years latter we now know: IF their is humanoidish life proper their: it'd look mostly like a bunch tightly compressed seed pods, and would avoid the redspot like the plague or would die, just about instantly, and no way in hell would it breath oxygen. methane maybe, but basically every gas that deletes human entrails is in it's atmosphere.
What do y’all think about science anime (eg. Cells at Work, Dr Stone)?
I watched and really enjoyed the first season of Cells at Work and like the premise of Dr Stone. I also love biology so I’m definitely biased lol, but what do y’all think?

Just a little test from Lemmy!
Does this post show up on Kbin community?
Just realized something I *don't* miss about reddit: post anxiety
