Question: all these permitions are allowed by default? Or the app asks for it and you can allow them or not from Android/iOS permissions, like notifications?
They seems to really embrace open social media. I have a couple of questions to see what their true intension is. It is assumed that they would federate with fediverse soon (plenty of reports of that already)...
I've noticed that Kbin turns gray the title of the posts that I've already clicked, but it'd be nice if I could just hide the ones I already saw, keeping my "Hot" section always fresh with new content....
Yeah! I've found this exactly script for hiding upvoted/downvoted posts, but, for most of the posts, I just don't had interest to even think about reacting to it
That's a good point! I didn't thought about the need to load everything and then hide the read articles.
But, to be honest, I think that this experience along with infinite scroll would be a lot better than what we have now. And also would make me use Kbin much more, since I would always have new content to read!
Oh, and thanks for all the work with KUP! It's already a must-have for me!
And also thanks for your availability for working in this idea!
I obviously appreciate the work @ernest has done and the team that's working on kbin but I'd like to know more about you. I apologize if the answers to these questions have been already answered....
I have now released a significant new update for KUP that introduces a new experimental mobile UI and adds support for the coming release of the Kbin platform....
Also there's really a UX problem with images (which appears to be fixed at testing instances) but, for now, you can enable "Auto media preview" on settings, so you don't need to click them.
So, just to understand it better: Lemmy counts only accounts registered at Lemmy's instances? It wouldn't count count me as an user (even commenting at Lemmy's communities) because my account is from Kbin, that's right?
I know that we NEED more content at Kbin, Lemmy and all the Fediverse in order for them to grow and substitute Reddit and other networks, but sometimes I just feel really happy that I can open my app and read almost everything that was posted in the last few hours without being suffocated by a billion of new posts....
Yeah! I think that's the feeling I was trying to describe: the old days of the internet, where the content really mattered and people were trying to create meaningful discussions!
Mine is going to be laid back if all goes according to plan. I'm going to do some birding with a friend tomorrow morning, then I'm headed to a used bookstore to buy a copy of "the pricess bride" that I talked myself out of the other day (I've never read it). Then I'm hitting the farmers market and then relaxing at home for the...
If I can give you an advice: don't stop trying to get used to kbin.
For me, at the beginning it felt a little complex and hard to find what I wanted, but after some days it started to feel like home and everything now makes sense (except for the upvote button that don't really upvote a post)!
OC Full, expanded list of all the data points and their purposes that Meta's Threads collect and link to user accounts. It's even more insane than you might've thought.

Kbin noob here - Is it the intended experience to take 2 clicks to open an image? (one to open the thread, then another to open the image)
Bonus question: How do you collapse comments? Some threads are busy and hard to navigate without this.
Is there any place I can see a changelog of Kbin's updates?
I saw that the test instances have some nice new features that are not still released for kbin.social....

Quais aplicativos vocês utilizam em seus celulares para utilizar o Lemmy? Obrigado pela ajuda
Since Kbin is new basically anyone here now would be considered veterans in a few years.
