speck,

How about we shift to talking about portion control and be less all or nothing?

speck,

Denying such things in other animals has been part of a long-standing, mainly Western, push for human exceptionalism

I miss people looking like humans.

Everywhere online now, every movie, every home video, has been passed through so many filters that people don’t look human any more. Nobody has any lines in their face, their teeth are florescent white, their eyes are filled in and have no veins. Nobody ever looks tired, or natural. Add to the mix the fact that everyone is...

speck,

Humans haven't been tasty in a long time. And now they're contaminated with micro plastics and forever chemicals?? Forget it. Hard pass

speck,

Texan civility would never stoop to such levels

speck,

Don't have anything to add, just appreciation for your post. A true evil playthrough would be interesting. Done well it'd uncomfortable and illuminating. But maybe too threatening for many? Maybe we stick to simplistic versions because they are safe?

Dishonored 2 did something in the right direction, the way choices start to color the world around you.

"Permission is Hereby Granted" -- MIT License text becomes viral “sad girl” piano ballad generated by AI (arstechnica.com)

On Wednesday, prompt engineer Riley Goodside tweeted an AI-generated song created with the prompt “sad girl with piano performs the text of the MIT License,” and it began to circulate widely in the AI community online.

speck,

Quite the meta statement of mainstream music

Is it possible to have an on-screen keyboard that provides word suggestions without compromising privacy?

I've been playing with both the Thumb and the Unexpected keyboards. I like 'em both but, man, I have to admit I'd like them more if they had that top bar that predicts what you might be. Is that just a no-go from a privacy perspective? Can that functionality be local?...

speck,

I'd prefer a flood of similar questions than the flood of circle jerk sycophant memes. At least the repetition of the former helps solidify my knowledge of common distros or whatever

speck,

Well, we will add some ecology version of thoughts and prayers to it. Some veneer of Never Again

speck,

Pretty stoked for this. The superhero genre seems strangely missing in gaming, barring IP related projects connected to DC and Marvel. This came the closest to matching the thrill of being a superhero, when it came out. Character creation was amazing, too

speck,

Were you able to create your own character?

speck, to kbinMeta

So I've created a magazine. How do I decide whether to add an "article" vs a "post"

speck,

Thank you that worked, now that I understand how to use the combo. Still wished there was a way to set my own combo. But this works

speck, (edited )

I'll give that a shot when I'm back at my laptop, thank you

[EDIT]: That didn't work for me. Wish it did, since it's a quicker combo! The CKEY + en dash * 3 did though

speck,

Thanks!

Beau of the Fifth Column: "The discussions of a southern journalist who is tired of a lack of common sense" (www.youtube.com)

Saw this guy recommended on a thread, with lots of other users giving him props. I don't consume a lot of content by watching videos, so give your impressions if you do watch him. That said, I watched a few of his vids. Seems grounded and actually interested in analysis of events.
