woooferine,

Replacing the leaders of opposition subreddits and silencing them by banning them?

Hmm... sounds like a certain political system employed by an asshole with a funny Kaiser mustache over a century ago.

woooferine,

Same one for me.

Back in my beginning days in Reddit, I originally wanted to register "wooferine" but it was already taken., so I chose "woooferine" instead.

Yes, I kept the extra "o" here. My g-board knows my username, so why change it?

woooferine,

I am still getting my head around this fediverse concept. I know of lemmy and I am here at kbin because I heard that kbin is one of the larger communities, but now you are saying fedia.io "is federating much more"? Does that equal to more content from other sources?

Maybe I'm still thinking in reddit-terms. Fuck, I miss my Baconreader.

woooferine,

Mine's at second from the right... and I have been tapping it whenever I had some free time.... then I was like "SHIT!" and nope the fuck out.

I miss my Baconreader..... :(

woooferine,

I saw a few comments about Tildes being "selective" with the posts and some were deleted. Any truth to that?

woooferine,

That's a highly coordinated collapse and pissing for the whole thing to work!

woooferine,

My 12 year old saw the first one a few years back in class (I wish my teachers were this cool. I only watch countless hours of Mr. Bean) and he absolutely loved it. I never got around to watch it until a few days ago.

The story line was solid and the movie was quite good. I watch a lot of sci-fi, so the whole parallel universe/multiverse concept wasn't news to me. But the to Marvel crowd, this was something new (I think, correct me if I'm wrong) and seeing this with a bunch of Spider-persons was truly refreshing.

I can't wait to bring my kids to the Across the Spiderverse next weekend.

woooferine,

I was surprised at first, then I went to the subs (anonymously, without logging in) that although some of them are not going private, they are doing different things to voice their "unpleasantness".

/r/mildlyinfuriating, /r/publicfreakout, /r/quityourbullshit have since got private.

/r/amitheasshole and /r/whatcouldgowrong have restricted submission, meaning that no new posts are allowed. This goes for the rest of the 30+ mil (/r/pics/) and 20+mil (/r/askscience, /r/books/, /r/explainlikeimfive, /r/jokes, /r/gifs/, /r/showerthoughts) in the Reddark list.

/r/photoshopbattles only allows blank submissions.

/r/therewasanattempt way of protest is a bit more complicated. No bots for admins, limited API usage, etc...

Many of them are fighting this battles in their own way.

woooferine,

While I would love another Star Trek movie, I prefer more TNG/DS9/VOY shows... At least tell me how is it going with the Chief.

And Worf! Not enough of him is Picard. I love me some more Worf.

woooferine,

It is hard to imagine that your life is dependent on the business decision of a company that makes your brain implant.....

woooferine,

Same here. Thanks OP for pointing this out.
