I am still getting my head around this fediverse concept. I know of lemmy and I am here at kbin because I heard that kbin is one of the larger communities, but now you are saying fedia.io "is federating much more"? Does that equal to more content from other sources?
Maybe I'm still thinking in reddit-terms. Fuck, I miss my Baconreader.
My 12 year old saw the first one a few years back in class (I wish my teachers were this cool. I only watch countless hours of Mr. Bean) and he absolutely loved it. I never got around to watch it until a few days ago.
The story line was solid and the movie was quite good. I watch a lot of sci-fi, so the whole parallel universe/multiverse concept wasn't news to me. But the to Marvel crowd, this was something new (I think, correct me if I'm wrong) and seeing this with a bunch of Spider-persons was truly refreshing.
I can't wait to bring my kids to the Across the Spiderverse next weekend.
I was surprised at first, then I went to the subs (anonymously, without logging in) that although some of them are not going private, they are doing different things to voice their "unpleasantness".
/r/mildlyinfuriating, /r/publicfreakout, /r/quityourbullshit have since got private.
/r/amitheasshole and /r/whatcouldgowrong have restricted submission, meaning that no new posts are allowed. This goes for the rest of the 30+ mil (/r/pics/) and 20+mil (/r/askscience, /r/books/, /r/explainlikeimfive, /r/jokes, /r/gifs/, /r/showerthoughts) in the Reddark list.
/r/photoshopbattles only allows blank submissions.
/r/therewasanattempt way of protest is a bit more complicated. No bots for admins, limited API usage, etc...
Many of them are fighting this battles in their own way.
Entire mod teams of r/interestingasfuck, r/TIHI and r/mildlyinteresting KICKED out. Some even locked out of their accounts (old.reddit.com)
Did you reuse your Reddit name or create a new one?
I originally went with the same name but have been using this one now since it's new and the idea of starting fresh appeals to me....
I definitely think r/gaming has the biggest banger of a privated notice
OC My muscle memory hasn't caught up with the blackout yet.
Any good mobile apps to access kbin?
Obviously this migration is all about 3rd party apps. Do any even exist yet for kbin?
Sent a polite message to the r/askreddit mods. Got a warning for bullying and harassment 4 hours later.
Spider-man Across the Spiderverse is a genuine 10/10
Spoilers, obviously!...
