    Just watched the 1hr mini movie on Amazon (one of your last chances to be surprised by Lance Reddick’s voice), and finished the new show on Netflix recently. We really live in a golden age of animation. I’m astounded by the quality of what is being put out, and so very grateful.

    The discovery that it's possible to retroactively improve a messy movie/franchise by adding prequel material and connective stuff is driving a lot of what they're doing with Star Wars right now.

    And like, on the one hand, it's working, and it's kind of neat to see it happen.

    But on the other hand, hoping we'll get some genuinely new shit here soon.

    @LeviKornelsen this is exactly what drove the Clone Wars cartoon for years. Filled in the ocean of missing character work for Anakin, taking a largely flat character from the prequels to a tragic failed chosen one, who dragged down everything they loved when they fell.
