CNN coverage of the AI fake news about me that was posted on MSN:

“in October, Microsoft republished an article that claimed that San Francisco Supervisor Dean Preston had resigned from his position after criticism from Elon Musk. The story was entirely false.”

To date, I’ve receive no acknowledgement, apology, or explanation from MSN.

Coverage of all this is important so that we don’t normalize AI’s harmful impact on news.

Prop E would lift police use of force reporting requirements, encourage high speed urban chases, and erect new procedural hurdles to prevent the Police Commission — a civilian oversight body — from adopting police policies.

Safeway today announced that it is closing its grocery store on Webster in the Fillmore in March.

My office learned of these plans today and immediately reached out to community leaders, Safeway, and the developer. We are committed to doing everything possible to ensure that the Fillmore continues to have a grocery store.

This site should be able to accommodate both a grocery store and new housing. There’s no reason the current store should be shut down so abruptly.

On Tuesday, there was a major fire in Alamo Square at the home of Terry Williams and his family, who have been the targets of racial terror and threats for the past few weeks. This fire resulted in the displacement of eight residents and their pets. My office is teaming up with City departments to convene a community meeting to provide updates and to make sure residents are aware of all available resources. In addition, we will provide neighbors with information on how you can help.

Safeway announced today that it is reversing plans to abruptly close the Webster Street Safeway after community pushback. The grocery store will remain open until Jan 2025. Congratulations to all the neighbors and community leaders on this victory! Still much more to do to make sure any transition plans are developed with the community, but for now this complete reversal by Safeway is a huge organizing win that will prevent irreparable harm to residents that abrupt closure would have caused.
