30 years ago today (Feb 25, 1994), nine inch nails released the first single from The Downward Spiral, 'March of the Pigs'. I had this record pretty soon after it came out and I played it nonstop. World changing. Step right up.
@jake4480 94 takes me right back to freshman year in college. Saw them play that same year, actually my first concert in college! At a relatively small school ballroom, kind of surprising given how hot they were. Don’t remember much about the music because I got dropped on my head crowdsurfing 😂

I still lean more towards #Ministry and #NIN and #MarkStewart + Maffia than #Pitchshifter, but they sound remarkably good on this live rendition of their single "Genius" from the late 90s.

I find everything after TDS to be very laborious and exhausting.
Those first three always have my constant attention and engagement. I never want to check out and need to see them to the end.

I engraved this piece over a decade ago.
It's the "Art Is Resistance" flag. Feels somehow very relevant.
Understandable, but sad. Remember that Halsey said that Trent and Atticus had been winding up to work on new NIN before she "stole" them to work on her album....
Despite being a big TMNT fan like I mentioned the other day, I haven't seen Mutant Mayhem and probably won't til later. But I did NOT know the soundtrack was done by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross! Been playing it today -- it has some BANGERS:
The #NIN “Lights in the Sky Over North America” tour was in/around my senior year of high school and I ate it up. Everything from the setlists to the production of the live shows, I was hooked during this tour.
Eventually, they released HD multicam footage of the tour for fans to remix and share. It ended up being made into a fan edit of the tour called “This One is On Us” that is over two hours long.
