In the entire history of computing, there has never been a more important time to teach people about #Linux than right now.
(And never a worse time for me not to be doing @Linux4Everyone -- so I hope my fellow YouTube and content creators will double down and show people the light!)
@killyourfm@Linux4Everyone@kevinctofel All the teaching in the world can’t make the average person understand Linux. If you don’t want Recall come to macOS, there’s a store nearby where they’ll answer all your questions 🙂
@PenguinToot@Linux4Everyone@kevinctofel macOS is certainly a good alternative to Windows, but I have to disagree with you. Many Linux distributions have made dramatic improvements towards usability and intuitive UI. (Many have not). Of course, neither of us can speak for every “average person” on the planet, but I know non-technical people from pre-teens all the way to elderly folk who use and understand Linux just fine.
Suggest some beginner-friendly resources for learning about Linux kernel features like LSM (SElinux, Yama Landlock, Lockdown), Netfilter, eBPF, Cgroups, Namespaces, and KVM :D
