1 reason why #Trump's comments about abandoning #NATO matter are, 1st & foremost, bc he ordered GOP to abandon #Ukraine which virtually all near-Ukraine allies think makes them next
He is, in front of our faces, delivering Ukraine up to Putin as a gift.
But the other reason it matters is bc we SAW this call-and-response in '16 & '20, when Trump got help from Russian spies
I remember a time when a presidential candidate proclaiming he’d encourage Russia to invade a NATO ally would be a universally and immediate disqualifying event, never to hear from that politician again.
Trump's submission to Putin was ever so evident in this series of podium captures. Look at the slump of his shoulders & the hanging head. I noticed it as they emerged from their "talk", yet I can't remember seeing it mentioned.
We need to lock him up now and start the process to fix America.
There's also a lot of work to do to help fix the rest of the world.
With #Trump around, it will never happen.

I never understood why Garland didn't dust off the Muller Report and indict based on the ten documented obstruction charges.
...and launch an investigation into the security risk which Muller never had in scope.

We seem to be in good company with our arguments, as historian and Prof. #HeatherCoxRichardson points out indirectly with this quote in her newsletter today:

...constitutional lawyer, but in my understanding, "the supreme law of the land" equates "levying War against" the #UnitedStates with doing likewise against any #NATO member state.
Thus, #TFG just invited the former arch-enemy of the #ColdWar's legal successor, the #Russian Federation, to attack any member state, as #Putler pleases.

If Garland charged Trump with the ten Mueller obstruction charges when he first became AG, Trump would have been silent in jail for a couple of years by now.
