The rampant pillaging and straight-up “appropriation” of human-generated training data from the Internet—without compensation—is a hallmark of many of today’s #AI giants. @drahardja I’m sure reminding OpenAI of “the rules” will be an effective deterrent. Besides, once it’s all vacuumed up, what does it matter anymore? It’s closing the barn door after you think the horse has come home—except someone has already turned the horse into glue, says “oops” and then proceeds to sell the glue and ask if you have any other horses they can borrow.
@drahardja Lol, like they aren't training their models on the exact same content, but he's still trying to make this be about user's rights and expectations.
