@gbhnews I mostly use the web app phanby.social, with its great and constantly improving interface. But I also keep Ice Cubes handy because it lets me easily browse and interact with the local timelines of other instances such as newsie.social and fediscience.org.

As an aside, I prefer a small recurring sub for software provided I can do it through the App Store. Gives me a belief that the App will stay up to date and avoids ads.
@gbhnews Ivory - much like looking forward to a new movie or book from your favorite creator, Ivory is from a long-time iOS dev team (2007), @tapbots. Choosing them means you get devs with a lot of with experience and a stable app with long-term updates, but they still have the flexibility of a small team making a very carefully crafted App.
@gbhnews I love Ice Cubes! For new users, it has a trending page and recommends accounts to follow. It also toggles easily between Home feed, Server, and Federated feeds.
