@geerlingguy after many years of not owning any physical media, last Xmas we started buying vinyl albums, both new and second hand.

One album my daughter got, Arctic Monkeys, had a voucher to download drm-less mp3, flacs and wavs of the album. Some record labels get it.

Spotify drove me to de-dust my music collection. Albums disappearing and reappearing - but under a different id breaking playlists. Some albums gone forever. Really makes you think:

What am I paying them for?

The convenience is really wearing off.
