Even tents designed for top or back of cars are not new. I think they're a daft idea as they're usually vehicle specific, buy a new car and you have to buy a new tent, and they don't seem to add much function over having a normal tent at 1/10 of the cost.
Also, as a regular tent user, I would likely fall and break my legs the next day as I'd forget I was up up there.
@ZachWeinersmith Juicero. Why use a normal juicer when you can buy our proprietary bags of chopped fruits/veggies and put them in our over-engineered wi-fi enabled machine.
@ZachWeinersmith Judging by the number of completely unhelpful chatbots, it seems like a lot of companies are being sold the idea of not providing customer service but at great expense and with AI.
@ZachWeinersmith truck platooning (a reinvention of trains), but you'd have to add a few more zeros to that 10x cost multiplier once you include the public road infrastructure.
Any fairly simple home device that now often pointlessly relies on a server that will brick the device when the company closes down or stops supporting it. [insert big list of IOT devices]
Judging by poorly targeted Youtube ads, almost everything, but now with AI. Had an ad for a golf club "Designed with AI !"
83.28% of hardware Kickstarter projects. "It's a spatula, but with a display to show a Twitter feed and play music!"
