@Alice I rescued a USB-A zip drive from a former employer's trash can, but haven't had the nerve to look at the precious things I've been saving all these years. (i.e. MacOS9 Shareware demos and 90s era gay porn photos.)
@Alice I'll try to follow through but I have to figure out where the disks ended up. (They're probably in a box in the closet, buried under MacOS9 Shareware CDs and 90s era gay porn magazines.)
Good news since my zip drive crisis has been averted because I realized I only need a new cable for my SCSI port so I just need to figure out when Radio Shack opens!
@Alice I have some spare internal scsi cables but usually the modem card is in the way. If you swap it with the networking card, though, that makes things easier, but that dumb cable from the cdrom to the soundcard is still an issue.
@tayfonay I used to work at an Apple Store and sometimes had to sub at the Genius Bar and have seen some WEIRD shit, so I have zero shame in doing this and would do it for free if I had the peripherals available to drag along with me in my little wagon.
