NASA Scientist: Remotely fixes aircraft at the edge of the solar system
Also NASA Scientist: “I didn’t do shit today.”
I feel like it’s pretty common for everyone. I heard someone say once that we overestimate what we can get done in a day but we underestimate what we can get done in a year. Here’s hoping you feel more accomplished tomorrow, whatever that looks like for you.
@the_etrain thanks for saying that bro, you sparked good thoughts. I have experienced that too. one thing that helps me is when I'm goin to sleep, every night that I remember to, I think of some shit I am grateful for. the roof over my head, potable water on tap, beers in the fridge, any fuckin thing. reminds me why I like living.
@the_etrain@mentallyalex Is it really weird about your psyche or could it be your environment, possibly on a more global than local scale that is weird? Or, as i have phrased it in a similar situation: do you have enough enrichment in your cage?
@the_etrain
This happens. Super normal and commonplace and toxic and terrible and stressful.
I'm very similar. I can't tell you how many times I have sat there and just watched someone become crestfallen as I explain that I exist to help others...there is no rest for the Alexi' of the world.
You are more than the sum of your parts. Give yourself the same tolerance you would give your kids.
If not, I'll still be here hanging out. But know that I'd rather you were nicer to you.
