I've finally taken the protective hessian wrap off the section of lime-mortared boundary/retaining wall we had rebuilt back in the autumn. We're on a slope so the wall on our side, the other side, is a good 60cm taller than pictured. For the sake of my bank balance, I wish we'd just put a fence up, but that didn't seem the right thing to do.
@pete i'd have gone for a gabion basket approach (big fan of those, used them back in our old house extensively), but that'd obviously give off a different (industrial) vibe
