Once, when I was 17, I was taken down like this. The reason was me and my other punker friends had colored hair and looked suspicious. 4 cops in armor with guns took us down on the side of Houston freeway in 1987, where we were beaten and humiliated, and in the end there was 8 cop cars worth helping them. My car was legal, I was legal, no one was drinking or doing any drugs, we were all straight edge.
@cunningstuff@Radical_EgoCom i think the the only way Is to change the recruitment and the training of the Police in the entire world, this abuses happened everywhere and toomuch.
On those lines, you will never get anything done, because a state, who has its interests above yours, is the one who is responsible for acquiring and empowering the police. That does not mean you can not get anything done. I have done small scale community organizing that put apartment blocks in contact and solidarity with each other, and we would work together to end crimes in our block.

The union recognized this and allowed us to hire people with the necessary skills and pass over those who were too far gone. Cop unions just protect the bad players, because many in the union are the bad players! Defund existing police like we defunded the institutions and build from scratch.
In other news, the oligarchs continue to squeeze this provision into any trade treaties they can: If a country dares pass a law that reduces a corporation's profits, like for instance limiting pollution or forbidding child labor, the corporation can demand reparations.
Yeah, I wish that news was a ghastly parody (vs reality) too.

@Radical_EgoCom Cop didn’t even try to be civil. Cops should never be judge, jury & executioner. Suspects are just suspects. Curious, did the cops ask for ID’s? What was the urgency?
just be aware you have to accept that you are definitely putting your own life at risk, the cops will never be punished for killing you, and your family's lives will be ruined forever.
its a shit situation but you need to go into it clear-eyed if you're going to go into it.
