True story. A science teacher explained chromosomes to her students. She told them there were x chromosomes, y chromosomes and non-binary chromosomes. I’m not kidding.

UPDATE: The Post Office now says that last week’s geomagnetic storms somehow caused delays in mail delivery. I’m an astronomer and I don’t see the connection, but whatever. The card still hasn’t arrived as of today.

@TexasObserver @stevanzetti School board are archaic and need to be dissolved. Teachers, and only teachers, should run schools. Some parents are not qualified to raise their own children much less decide on academic content for any other children. Shool board members should show these idiots the doors by force if necessary and stop placating them. It is not the case that every side is valid and worthy of respect. Competent people know this.
