> research demonstrates that an under-floor air distribution concept combined with a ceiling-distributed exhaust system, which generates local and vertically stretched airflow patterns, can significantly reduce airborne pathogens in classrooms by up to 85 per cent
"There was a distinct shift in the distribution of respiratory viruses from SARS-CoV-2 during the Omicron wave to other respiratory viruses one year later. SARS-CoV-2 is more likely to be detected in the air than other endemic respiratory viruses, possibly reflecting differences in viral characteristics and the composition of virus-carrying particles that facilitate airborne long-range transmission."
Nice work of the engineers that built this #SBB train: the ventilation seems to do a pretty good job with plenty of people and CO2 constantly around 650-700ppm.
Nachricht von meiner Long Covid-Freundin.
In spite of what actively harmful guidelines say, YOU can still help protect yourself & others from covid & other airborne illnesses by masking!! If you want affordable, legit, and even colorful masks, check out https://bonafidemasks.com 's 20% off coupon "MARCH20"
(not an ad or anything, they just sent me the code so I wanted to share. I use their masks for productions and the company has always been good to work with!)
"LESSON UNLEARNED:
Covid Taught Us a Lot. The CDC Now Wants Us to Forget It.
The agency reportedly plans to tell people with Covid and other infections to isolate based on symptoms. Researchers say symptoms aren’t a good indicator of who’s contagious."
At least no one can deny that #measles is airborne and that airborne precautions prevent it. Want to kill several birds with one stone in an age of immunodysregulation and vaccine evasion? #WearAMask (#WearARespirator)
I've had #Covid twice: once in March 2020, when we still thought spread via groceries and door handles, and once more recently, when we understood that #CovidIsAirborne but Helen stopped masking without telling me. We've both had every #vaccine and #booster we can wring out of the NHS, and I wear #FFP2 in all indoor public spaces. (So, now, does Helen.)
I'm immunocompromised -- can't make Covid antibodies -- so we have even more reason to take it seriously.
My second wrangle with Rona gave me a bitof #LongCovid (to wit, loss of taste and smell, a month of Covid cock, and a persistent smell of smoke in my nostrils), but everything has cleared up now, thank goodness.
We need to talk more about #CovidCock. It might focus some minds. Nothing else seems to be doing it.
A great presentation with information all in one place - What people need to know about COVID in 2024. Originally designed for therapists but it has useful information for everyone ( https://covid-for-therapists.my.canva.site/ ).
