I've got five check marks on my list of 11 chores I need to do this weekend. Three are nixed due to the rain and three require more enthusiasm then I can muster at this point.
One threatens to uncheck itself. I'll probably need to re-address it tomorrow.
I hereby declare the tenth day of the month to be:
"Clean out the dishwasher filter day!"
Don't delay, don't put it off. Get in there and scrub and rinse that damn thing till it's clean. Your dishes, and frankly all of humanity will thank you for your service.
A lot of the anime which I've got in my watch list have dropped an update today! I'm going to be busy catching up while washing my laundry.
After the new episodes and laundry is washed...I can play My Time at Portia because that game is so good! I made so much progress yesterday that the momentum truly built up. I think I could buy the next game after reaching the endgame in Portia.
In the middle of defrosting an upright freezer in the basement. Ugh, an unpleasant job at the best of times, which is why I put it off so long. Brrr, cold hands.
Had a good morning debugging software, so thought I would change gears after lunch and tackle a high priority chore. Planning to load up the freezer a bit on the weekend.
I've got five items on my list called: Outdoor Things I Definitely Must Do Before Winter. I'm trying to find optimal timing relative to rain, desk work and fluctuating enthusiasm to tick them all off.
Forced myself to get the first one (deck sand & stain) addressed this afternoon, but it spawned a new task to repair some rotting wood.
I'll now add that to a list called: Things Discovered Doing the Other Things And Which Also Must Be Done Before Winter.
I guess this afternoon was the fourth half of that job, winter prepping our garage.
Today I busted up some old concrete and asphalt patches, and filling them with new, more level asphalt so there's no gap under the garage door.
If I can get new gasket/weatherstripping for the bottom of the big door, I'll call that done for the season and can move on to task 3. Not sure which item that'll be yet.
Asphalt tamping is such physical work – I'm sure I'll feel that tomorrow.
A few hours on task 3 of my list of 5 pre-winter reno chores –removing an old furnace vent pipe (once popular with chipmunks/mice) and filling the resulting hole in a concrete wall. Extra challenging as access is through a very tight crawl space.
I wish I could crawl – it's more of a slither-space. I have some cardboard down which lets me slide on my back.
Trying to work under there has beaten me for the day. Feels like an all-arms-and-situps session at the gym. #chores#winterIsComing

I can identify every kind of cloud, tell you how a t-storm, hurricane, and tornado work, and I watch every meteorological documentary I can find. 🌧️ 🌩️

Good morning friends, cronies and Mastodon people passing by. 🌅 How is everyone today? I'm feeling extremely lazy, I just finished cleaning both the bathrooms and sat down and can't get back up. Luckily it's a 4 day weekend for me, I avoided work yesterday. Not sure what's in store today but probably something.
