Today at the allotment I met a new mum and she brought her beautiful child with her. When I got home I read of the floods in Italy and watched the last moments of life of three young people swept away. I'm filled with horror and rage and I don't know how to articulate to family and friends how bad the situation is and how that little child I met will maybe suffer in the not too distant future. #ClimateDiary

@pvonhellermannn i mean, there's nothing one single individual like myself can do to stop something that's bigger than all of us (yes I recycle, minimalist lifestyle, etc but that's not enough) and the gov'ts of the world aren't going to save us when they can't even agree on budget bills. It's fucked up from top to bottom. I just want to live my life without being doomed into a horrific depression. Every. Single. Day. I still read the latest updates. But most people just turn it off.
A ban on having exotic animals as pet would actually be the best to honour these 'magnificent' animals.
I don't think the owner was necessarily bad. However, if you are a pet owner, of any animal, not just exotic ones, the least you can do if you go away for holidays is having someone coming to check for your pets.
