I just jumped on Twitter to check something, and I immediately started thinking about the 600 limit. There was an uneasiness, a stress. Don't read too many things! Need to keep some "reads" available if needed later!
That unease and uncertainty is classic abuser behavior.
And when he steps in and allows things to go back, Twitter users will feel a gratefulness to him.
This is likely the ONE and ONLY thing I dislike about Mastodon is that majority of people that talk about Twitter do nothing but whine, cry and complain about Twitter. It is seriously tiring reading all about that platform on this platform. This is Mastodon! Talk about Mastodon!
If you don't like it, don't use it. If you're not using it, then why the hell post about it at all? LET IT GO! LET IT DIE! LET IT ROT!

Twitter used to be fun and useful and it’s difficult to leave it behind. It’s time to start trying, though: we can’t keep hand-wringing about Twitter turning into a cocktail party for Nazis while stubbornly refusing to leave the room.

I stayed off Twitter for several months, and finally Deleted my account last week. Not missing anything; I was Shadowbanned over there for years, so almost no Interactions, even with 12K fully vetted and loyal Followers. #TwitterIsDeadToMe #FuckTwitter
Fuck the Bluesky and Fuck Twitter. I've seen enough communities, genres, scenes, movements, etc. over the years that get too popular and get overrun by assholes and then it forces out the good people. I prefer to have the good people here in the Fediverse that we have.
