The Key Bridge collapse hit me emotionally in a way I did not expect. It's a huge physical landmark that has been a part of my life for my entire time living in the Baltimore area (i.e. since 2008). It was a huge part of my commute and even visiting family. And now it's just...gone.
I heard a friend online say it's like grieving the loss of a human member of the community and, while it feels weird, it's kind of apt.
Still feels surreal. Still praying for those who were harmed in the incident.

It's Wednesday, which means the week is half over. Let's talk about our plans for the day today and what we all hope to accomplish.
Not much here outside of the usual work stuff. I played a bit of Enshrouded this morning since it got its first content update yesterday. It's so damn good too!
It is a somber Tuesday after the incident on the Francis Scott Key Bridge. That is my local commuter bridge and the one I took to work daily for over a decade before getting my current, local job.
My BIL / SIL take it still take it. I am thankful their commute did not line up with the incident. We called them both when we saw the news early this morning to check. I am also thankful for those who were able to be saved so far out of the harbor.
I pray that more folks who fell in are found and saved.
Today's the first day of Spring Break for my kids. We have a bonus kid at home who spent the night last night. I'm always thankful that my kids have been able to find friends, especially my older two in Middle and High School where that becomes harder.
The weather is all sorts of rainy which, meh - but it's good for the ground. We need some rain with how dry it's been. So, I guess I am thankful for the rain.

It's the usual work stuff here with a meeting at 12pm EST today. After that, I'll be playing Horizon Forbidden West as it releases in 3 1/2 hours from now and I'm so excited!
Tonight, my wife and I are going to see Fall Out Boy in concert! First concert we have ever been to as a couple...and we've been married almost 17 years. We just haven't really been to concerts in a long while.
I am thankful for tonight, for family willing to watch our kids, and for the firsts in our relationship I didn't realize we still had.

Usual work stuff for me, with a meeting at 12pm as is the case every Tuesday. After that, not much else planned other than to rest and relax and just enjoy the evening.
This morning we're heading to church, then I'm trying to get to the gym after church. Not much else on the docket for the day besides maybe getting more laundry done.

For me, I'm starting the day off my usual S'mores flavored iced coffee and just going to rest and relax. Yesterday was a very lazy day and I hope to do more of the same today.

After two days of skipping the gym cause...meh, went back today and glad I did. Feeling better today and, it appears, my kids are all feeling better too.
I am thankful for that.
Tonight is the last game of my 9 year olds' indoor soccer season. Here's hoping the duo plays well. This is the ONLY team in the league that MDMRN Twin 1 has not scored on, so she is determined to do so.
